the best ever shark fin that i eat at so many restaurant in kl but only this at De Maw restaurant. the chef from china teow chew, so their signature dish are all teow chew foods. sometime need to queue and wait very long because of they only have one chef and serve one by one. but their loyal customer are willing to wait no matter how long. the shark fin only RM10 and really taste nice. they cook once order and all are fresh.

This is the only one very big portion of 'Gu Lou Yuk' that i ever tried. even we got 11 person also can't finish it. the taste is not bad. and the pork is crispy. we surprise how come the portion is that big , if at other restaurant consider more than 20 person portion. and the price is reasonable . cost RM34 only . end up we still left alot and take away to home and reserve for next day eat

This is my 3rd time to visit this Restaurant De Maw, but 1st time bring my family to celebrate my sister and father birthday. we'd order 7 dishes actually , but they serve we 1st 5 dishes already is consider very big portion, so we decided to cancel another 2 dishes due to worry cannot finish it. this is the 1st dish that we get serve. shark fin with 11 people . my family all praise it's very nice and delicious. the crad meat are many and fresh. the taste is not bad and the size average each peo

I must first warn you that this place is not that big and is always packed. If you plan to dine here, I would highly recommend you to call to make reservations in order to secure yourself a table. It is pretty popular for Chinese family dinners. This dish absolutely shocked us when it arrived. Look at the size of it! It's a whole chicken in a silver foil 'bowl in soup. Lots of big fat mushrooms in the soup. Chicken was tasty, not dry and didn't have too much fats.

Next up is a prawn dish. As usual, the portion is large. Each individual prawn is very big with lots of flesh. Fresh, juicy and crunchy meat. All of them were cleaned properly and cut open so it's easier to eat. The dish consists of golden prawns and fried prawns with some kinda dark sauce, onions and red & green capsicums. The fried prawns had a heavier sauce taste while the golden prawns were lighter but creamy. I prefer the golden ones over the fried prawns but they're both quite yummy.

The moment I saw this dish, my eyes immediately zoomed in on the cucumber slices. How cute and creative! It's a plate of pork chunks with sesame seeds. The pork meat is not too dry and is very flavourful. When you bite into it, it's crunchy with all the sesame seeds (which also makes the dish fragrant). There wasn't too much of fat in it (I absolutely can't stand extremely fatty dishes).

Definitely the first time I have ever seen a dish like this. Got us wondering what they really were. If I am not mistaken.. The cylindrical ones on top are crispy and light outside. They're wrapped around big juicy prawns with cheese. The round one below contains dried oyster (or some kind of seafood) and chicken. The sauce they use on top is yums! Chicken wasn't too tough or dry.

Dinner starts with a bowl (or two) of warm soup. This bowl of shark's fin soup with crab meat is so HUUUGE, it's almost overflowing! Each of us had about 1.5-2.5 bowls of it as there was just too much. It's so brown because they put a lot of vinegar in. It is not very starchy and as you can see, there are many ingredients inside the soup. Crab meat added a 'sweet' taste to it.
