The Rama V Thai Restaurant has been in KL for awhile. Famous for its premium Thai food dining with good atmosphere, we decided to celebrate a friend's birthday at the restaurant.For the benefit of those who aren't familiar with the KL city road, you could waze your way there or if you are heading to Jalan Imbi area using Jalan Tun Razak, I'm sure you will pass by this Daimler Show Room on your left, just across the road before you reach Prince Court Medical Hospital. We went Rama V for lunch because of my sister wholoves to have Thai Foods. Rama V is located at Jalan U Thant, Kuala Lumpur. Wewere helped by the friendly Jockey guy to park our car at the parking. Then wewere welcomed by the sweet girl at the reception .Once seated we were servedwith menu and water. i bought my family to rama v since here i read many nice food to try on. try the Yam Pla Duk Fu (Spicy Crispy Catfish Salad) was a great choice.. Crispy, yet fluffy inside, the fish was spread with a tangy, sweet and spicy concoction that teased and tingled my tongue. very flavourful and nice to have this for dinner and environment is quite comfortable here and nice to dine in

i will definelty introduce this place to my friend when coming to thai food. not for their totally on the food taste but for the nice cooling environment here. i try the dishes here and ordered my favourite Thai dessert. which came out good and refreshing desserts after all the spicy food and the one at Rama V is really good . really big enough of water chestnut wrapped in bouncey jelly with cooling ice

rama v is well known of their nice dining place and here is a good place to have dinner especially trying out their authentic thai cuisines. Price-wise, I think it's one of the best deals in town:we eetter book, to avoid disappointment as here is very crowded and limited dining space. try the famous mango sticky rice in any cuisines thai style can get. here is just average and lucky the mango is sweet enough and taste good

the menu in thai rama v is quite limited but here served really nice and mouth watering thai food. order and try the Gaeng Ped Pol Linchee which is actually the Roasted Duck Curry with Lycheelly. i do enjoyed this mild spicy curry that has moisty slices of roast duck which is quite crispy , accentuated by the sweet tenderness of the lychee and of course goes so well with rice.

when coming here to rama v, this place all i can think of the nice hanging out place with spacious design and also the environment. the food is just average and quite expensive .try the menu of the Poe Tak which is the seafood soup flavoured with Thai herbsved this soup , it has all the spicy spices and strong aroma. it was everything I enjoy in a Thai soup, fragrant with spices, salty, sour, spicy, and with fresh seafood.

rama v the ambience there and very nice place to din in here. the envronment is it's so wonderfully resort-like, nestled in a low key, charming bungalow on Jalan U-Thant (off Jalan Tun Razak). try the pik Kai Tod – Chicken Wing stuffed with Minced chicken and Mushroom,delicious meal thai cuisine taste and i like this dish with crispy chicken wing and fresh made

A trip to a Thai restaurant would not be complete without trying any Tom Yam which is what Thai restaurants are famous for. Whenever I go for Rama V’s lunch buffet I would never fail to order their Tom Yung Kung and pair it with a bowl of rice. The tom yam has a large variety of spices in it and I like how the mushrooms in the soup soak up the flavours. You can opt for meatless tom yam soup while ordering too but it usually comes with chicken slices.

This is a dining hotspot for diplomats as the concentration of embassies around the area is very high. The food served here is as authentic as it gets and they have an awesome lunch buffet every weekend and the best thing about it is free flow of wine and beer even though the alcohol selection is a bit limited for now. Do try out their pineapple fried rice as the chef is quite generous with the pineapple cubes.

Hidden behind the US embassy is this quiet little restaurant serving a variety of Thai food. There are a couple of VIP standalone rooms which has a view of garden pool and looks pretty majestic. If you dine here don’t forget to try their chor ladda which is basically minced chicken with peanut wrapped in a layer of sticky yam paste. It has a beautiful blue and purplish hue and taste like our Malaysian version of satay sauce except sweeter and chewier.

之前常去Ampang找朋友，偶然地去到这间泰国餐厅－Rama V．那里的环境很好，服务也很好，毕竟是属于一间fine dine的餐厅嘛。所以，我对他们的食物期望很高。很可惜，不知道是当天的食物失水准还是我期望有点太高，我觉得有点失望。

前年买了张双人Rama V semi lunch buffet coupon。google 过 Rama V 的reviews, 觉得很不错，所以很期待。到了那里，直到Rama V 是一间fine dine的泰国餐厅。环境好，服务也很好。只可惜，当天的菜色有点让我失望。感觉就好像在高级餐厅吃kopitiam的杂饭。不过，可能是因为coupon的关系。有机会的话，还是希望可以到那里品尝下proper dinner。

I am not sure if Rama V still has weekend brunch but if they still do I would recommend as the menu is quite extensive and the food is good and the portion is quite generous too. One of my favourite dish here is the chor ladda which is purple colored yam paste wrapping a healthy amount of minced chicken and peanuts. There is also a thin layer of santan on the chor ladda to enhance its flavor.

Their weekend lunch buffet is quite popular with the crowd. This is my second time back and the restaurant was fill to the capacity and I felt lucky I made a reservation before hand. The dish in the photo above is the tom yum kung. As you can see the prawn is quite big and there is quite a number of prawns in the soup too. The bowl of soup is big enough to be shared with two person and the spiciness level is just right.
