Pun Chun Noodle House is located at Ara Damansara. It is a restaurant that offers different types of noodles. The examples of foods served there are Duck Drumstick Dry Noodles, Char Siew Wantan Noodles, Wantan, Mushroom Chicken Feet Noodles and so on. I had tried Prawn Wan Tan served by Pun Chun Noodle House. The prawn is very fresh and delicious. The price is also very affordable. Highly recommended to have a try.

Wifey is a super fan so Pun Chun Noodle House's fried wan tan. I favour it too, although I am usually not a person who go for deep-fried stuff. If you tell the waiter you want fried wan tan, he will normally bring you a plate of 15 pieces. So if you are dining for two, or if you think you cannot finish 15 pieces, you can ask for a serving of 10 pieces, although it is not stated in the menu. Each wan tan is filled with a lot of filling consisting of minced pork and coarsely chopped prawns. Sometimes the saltiness is not very consistent, but that's OK with me. If too salty, then eat with the noodle. If not salty enough, then add soya sauce. The wan tan skin is superbly crisp, every mouthful a crunchy goodness. Priced at RM10 for 10 pieces, they're not cheap, but well worth the amount paid.

The past couple of times when I dined in Pun Chun Noodle House, I didn't notice that they served wu kok, which is essentially a ball of deep-fried yam with cha siew filling in it. I saw it this time, and didn't waste time to order one to try. The yam with batter was very light and delectable, almost a melt-in-your-mouth sensation. The char siew filling was just so-so actually, as I felt the one served in Bidor was way better. Priced at RM1.60 a ball, it was a reasonable amount to pay.

Since the restaurant faces the rising sun, the shop can be quite warm in the late morning. It is not air-conditioned, but it was still OK because a good breeze is blowing when wifey and I were there. Eaten together with some pickled green chillies, it is an experience one will never forget.

The only time I got to sample Pun Chun's famous noodles is when wifey and I travel north passing by Bidor. However, since they opened a branch in Ara Damansara, which is five minutes away from my place, the shop is very accessible to me. The restoran is located in Taipan 2 Damansara, and the shop can be seen from the main road. Since they took the corner lot, there are a number of tables placed there, easily about 30 tables. The service is very fast as they have many waiters working there. Once seated, one of the waiters will immediately place a menu on the table and take your order. Once the order is taken, the orders came fairly quickly. Wifey had the char siew noodle, as she didn't want the wan tan soup. The bowl of noodle came in a jiffy, and although it looked mediocre, the taste is actually great, very much comparable to the original ones served in Bidor. The noodle is well done, crunchy and springy, with mouth bounce. The char siew was also roasted very well. Although there weren't much fat in it, the char siew was still juicy and not dry at all. Some bits of vegetables and chopped onions as garnishing completes the bowl. After consumption, you will need to pay at the counter. While waiting for your turn to pay, there is a whole shelf of items that you can buy, such as kai chai biscuit and sak kei ma specially transported in from Bidor. I remembered during Mooncake Festival, they were selling mooncakes as well. One of the best noodle house, complete with decent prices.

Kopi ice @ RM1.60I din't notice the famous Duck noodle Pun Chun has outlets in PJ now until my friend brought me here. During lunch time it is very crowded, sometimes you need to wait for empty tables. The workers here are quite efficient and they move fast to serve you. Wanted to try their coffee this round. Can notice from the dark color, it is very thick and rich of coffee taste. It has the special salty taste something like the northern style coffee.

Duck Drumstick Mee (Dry) @ RM7.30 (small) RM8.30 (big)It is a must to try their famous homemade wan tan noodle and duck meat soup here at Pun Chun. The dry wan tan noodle comes with some green vege and sprinkle of spring onion on top. Pour a scoop of soup into it and mix the noodle thoroughly, apparently the soya sauce is at the bottom and it is very flavourful. The noodle is very springy and delicious together with the duck meat. The soup is boiled in a metal bowl and full of herbal tastiness.

The fried wan tan in Pun Chun is one of the best fried wan tan I have ever had. Succulent pieces of prawn mixed with mince pork wrapped in wan tan skin, fried to perfection. A close second compared to my mum’s fried wan tan. Served with slivers of cucumber, it is the perfect accompaniment to the dry noodles. They also provide some tomato sauce and some blended garlic-ish, green chilli sauce, but I prefer them without any sauce. It is always freshly made, making it very crunchy. Priced at RM10 fo
