After a whole lot of sinful and never ending meaty meal during the Chinese New Year holidays we were craving for more healthy and less meaty options.

And the first healthy food that came into our mind is Pho Hoa. As far as I heard it's a franchise from overseas and they have outlets in Malaysia yet they are not very famous and crowded compared to Vietnam Kitchen.

So we had their signature noodles I.e. Vermicelli with grilled chicken and prawns. The noodles comes with a hefty lots of vegetables. Lettuce, bean sprout, carrots and lots more. It's a dry noodle where you need to pour in their sauce in it. Their sauce tasted like Thai chilli sauce with a bit of spicy and sour making it so apetitizing. I personally think if we add in some ground nuts it will be even better!

As for the grilled chicken rice it was pretty normal. White rice with grilled chicken meat but the meat was juicy and marinated to perfection. Not too dry with the right amount of texture. Perfecto.

Dad had their Vietnamese Drip Coffee too. The waiter was quite nice to offer if he wants to add on more hot water to the drip so he could have more despite the fact that the water might be diluted though. Anyhow you rarely get such an offer from other Vietnamaese Restaurant. Kudos to the friendly staff!

The noodle and the broth is nice. The sweet basil leaf and condiments play an important role in making the broth taste and smells great with herbs smell. The broth is not too salty, and the beef meat is fine. Have tasted the noodle in Melburne, the beef there is much more tender. However, looking at the price and availability of good beef will be costly here, I would grade Pho Hoa 8/10 still. Love it!

This used to be my favourite place to eat.We usually order T3 which contains steak, brisket, flank, tendon & tripe pho. You pour in the bean sprout while it's hot and eat with the sambal. Omg.. I don't usually think much of noodle soups but this is really tasty. It's about RM 17 for a small bowl and about RM 19 for a large bowl. Not only is the food good, the workers there are very friendly as well. They welcome you, open the door for you and smile. Once, when I only ordered an ice cream instead

Once, when I only ordered an ice cream instead of noodles, the waiter asked if I needed an empty bowl (to share) and if I would like to have my ice cream now or later. Then when I was sick, they gave me warm water instead of with ice. They really give me this feeling like they care for their customers.

Pho Hua was my first try at Vietnamese food. The walls are painted with vietnamese culture in mind. Looked lovely The vietnamese noodle is the BEST there is, aside from the beef noodle. The beef noodle is heavenly, and the soup is just nice , tasty with no beefy smell. The beef slices are fresh! I love it! The meat pieces are tender to bite and don't cause me any toothache.

This is the first time i had ever tried Vietnamese food. My friend told me Vietnam is famous in their noodles. We ordered a beef noodle, chicken noodle, and fried rice with spring rolls. The soup was delicious and they had their special Vietnam sauce which can be added into your soup for different taste. Their noodles have a very different texture from ours which is quite soft. We had Lotus tea which is bottomless and it's quite special.

An interesting rendition of Vietnamese style pho (rice vermicelli) - instead of broth, stew is used. The stew is pretty decent. The carrots are soft and sweet, the beef is tender and plentiful. The thai basil gives it a slight minty flavour but without the "cool" sensation. The stew itself was thick, but I found it a little too salty for my liking (would've gone great with a baguette or something); and I didn't really like the combination with the noodles - it tasted out of place. This used to be one of my preferred places for soupy noodles. I like their plentiful portions of beef and the fact that the soup noodles is low in fat. I usually go for brisket which is super lean but not dry. I find the soup itself has degraded since they first opened. It's now quite bland and watered down - tasted salty and little else.Besides that, it's generally edible and healthier than most things out there; and the portion is big with plenty of meat. Besides that, it's generally edible and healthier than most things out there; and the portion is big with plenty of meat. I've shied away from coming here mostly because the soup is not really fantastic anymore and generally not that cheap for a bowl of noodles, around 15-ish bucks.
