The restaurant is very spacious, the menu variety is very wide come together with Chinese, Western and dim sum. Also, there is a lot of snack available, one of it the pop chicken. It is chicken been cut into small cube style and deep fried. It is very crunchy and crispy. The meat is tender and not too dry even after fried. It is our favorite snack items when gathering, price is a bit high but worth it as the chicken portion is a lot. continue reading

wanted to try something different beside the pork served here in pat kin pat sun, i choose for the fish instead. in their menu all looks so appealing and nice to try on. i pick the choices of the fish rice, served with rice, corn and vegetables and it was wrapped with the egg. very delicious and i love the sauces they put inside the rice and i will prefer more sambal to add on it. continue reading

Pat Kin Pat Sun cafe (不见不散茶餐厅) is one place you should try when you happens to dropby Southgate. It is almost a hidden gem as there are not much restaurants/shops in the area. Unless you are a fan of Nichii, do pay a visit to this cafe for lunch. They do have an all day dim sum promotion (from RM2-4 per plate), but I’ll rather stick to what a Char Chan Teng (HK style cafe) do best – Ying Yong and toast is a must try!Curry Chicken Noodle Set with a glass of cold Ying Yong. We can choose from a variety of drinks available and Ying Yong seems to be my fav. The curry soup is thick and full, and the portion is amazing. For the price of 7.90, I think this worth every penny. If compared to Kim Gary, PKPS deserves the two thumbs up for their food in terms of serving and taste. The lack would be a strategic location, so it would be non convincing at the first look when you see an almost empty cafe. The Ice cream & Peanut Butter Thick Toast RM5.90 is love at first sight. It looks exactly as in the menu and was delicious. Peanut butter toast topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, not forgetting the choco fudge was heavenly. This is indeed a great treat and filling up at the same time. Bill comes with 10% taxes and RM1 for parking is needed to get into Southgate. continue reading

Actually Pat Kin Pat Sun is a pretty nice Hongkie-style cafe serving Hongkie-style food. What the heck, the name itself sounds Hongkie The thing is, Southgate in itself is VERY quiet, irregardless weekdays or weekends. It's a bit out of the way for most Klang Valley folks and there's not much to see or do. However, it's very clean and parking abundant and free That said, it's mixed reviews for this cafe. Some food OK, some rather bland. Maybe it's because of the very slow turnaround in customers flow. I feel bad for them. But their lunch sets are value for money though. It comes with fruits, soup and drinks. Had the spaghetti set. Not bad :-) continue reading
