Signature Dishes
My first time dining in Pak Hailam at Low Yat branch and it is the LAST! The price of food is consider pricey as the food is so so. I order Hainan Chicken rice ala carte RM11.90, but the food came with set which is RM13.90 (not include 10% tax yet). There is a piece of fried chicken no fragant smell, generous amount of tauge which is still very raw, 2 slices of cucumber, a small plate of chili and with the set it comes with a drink I didnt order in the first place. However, I did not make them to take back the Ribenna Cincau drink which they mistakenly served. After finishing the main course, I proceed with my drink. THANK GOD I didn't drink immediately!!! I was scooping out the ice, and to MY HORROR!!! there is a dead fly with its feet sticking to the ice. I immediately ask for bill and show the staff there is a fly in my drink. The staff just look at me and I ask her to look at the fly. She still looking at me with out apologizing and still charge me with the drinks with that dead fly which I did not ordered in the first place. If I did not scoop out the ice, the fly would have ended else where. With such pricey, poor quality food and POOR HYGIENE and POOR SERVICE!!! I will definately not going to visit this Pak Hailam branch in Low Yat. Becare of your food and drinks if you happen to visit there.

i look through the menu in pak hailam and find it quite cheap price then the old town. so just settle down here for lunch and i try the nasi lemak chicken rendang. the sambal looks so appetizing as i love hot stuff and the condiments is complete with crispy anchovies and the peanuts which i like it. and the chicken meat is soft and the rendang gravy is full of spices. delicious meal

Initially, I had my eyes on something else on their menu but their daily promotion sets caught my eye. It was Friday so I chose that day's deal which came with a cup of Iced Lemon Tea and you can add on RM 1 for a scoop of ice cream.I did not regret ordering the Nasi Lemak Curry Chicken! The rice was really fragrant and I finished all of it with the delicious curry sauce and delectable sambal which wasn't too spicy. The chicken meat was really juicy and soft, with a fair bit of flesh. I enjoyed my meal and wouldn't mind returning!
