I would say this is more of a snack really as opposed to a light meal. Basically succulent normal-sized oysters are well-coated with in a special mixed of seasoned batter before being deep fried to perfection. Just how I like it.. crispy outside, tender and succulent on the inside..I never thought that even oysters can be deep fried this way ^_^ Best served piping hot, of course.. continue reading

Oyster King is a opened in a small kiosk in The Gardens there. Selling specially Oyster cooking like the Fried Oyster (O-chien), oyster noodles, garlic oyster and other seafood food as well.I personally love to eat Fried Oyster aka O-chien very much. I often have it in those hawker stalls because theres teh mainly place who sell these foods. This kiosk is the best spot to enjoy your fried oyster in an air-conditioned place and of course the price is slightly higher but its worth it. Their O-chien is indeed very good. The oysters are fresh and huge and the protion is generous too continue reading

Before entering this dine place we hesitated for a while, whether its a halal restaurant or not, before one of the staff approach and assured us that no pork serve here (also pointing her finger at a tiny little halal logo sticker at the serving counter). The waitress also suggest us a menu : deep fried oyster, lala fried meehoon and seafood noodle soup. The taste is Ok since I am not a big fan of seafood. Best thing is the hawker stall decoration and the open-air style dining area. The restaurant is definitely for oyster lover, but if you looking for more variable seafood menu, go to other place. continue reading

During lunch hour, i ordered this Lala/clam fried rice. The place was really packed and i think the staffs couldn't cope with the demand. My fried rice took a long long time to arrive and i have to make complaints because i saw patrons that order later than me got their food before mine. So, i'm a bit furious. The fried rice tasted average. Very normal with some lala, shrimps, and frozen vegetables in it. The fried rice was very salty and no "wok hei". By the way, i think they use induction cooker to cook. The lala were so tiny little small seafood in the rice, barely noticeable. continue reading

Fried oyster which is char "O-CHIEN" that we always said. This kind of food is always found at roadside stall and food court but now it been commercialized, so you can found in shopping mall, eat in a very comfortable air-con environment. Fried oyster is topped with big oysters, coriander and lime, the omelette is a big portion. If you cant really take those strong taste seafood, you can eat together with the chilli which special for fried oyster. The oyster is very fresh and fat, taste very nice. The price is reasonable, cost RM9. continue reading
