Tandoori chicken here is decently sized, and quite tender and flavourful. You can really taste all the spices they used in the basting. Served with mint sauce, which is a bit creamy and zesty. The outside is a bit over-charred, so that's a bit dry.

We were craving for mee goreng after one long hard night at the gym (yeah, quite counter-productive, I know!). Didn't wanna stray too far from home, so we headed to Original Kayu at Aman Suria. Mee was cooked dry, which I like, and is spicy and salty enough. Chicken was a lot too, but quite expensive for the portion.

It has been a long time since I had some mamak food. And I suddenly crave for curry. Then off I go to Kayu for lunch. I went to the dishes counter and start picking my dishes. The guys in Kayu will only whip up a roti at night. Many times when I wanna get some roti during lunch, they are not open. So this time, I get my dose of roti for supper. Their roti was fluffy and nice to eat. It has a slight tint on sweetness on the dough. I love it when mix together with dahl and normally will take more dahl and curry too. One of the Original Kayu Nasi Kandar branch is located at Aman Suria Damansara. It started out with a stall at a coffee shop in SS2 Chow Yang here back in 1974 and grew to become one of the most popular “Mamak” restaurants in Klang Valley and Penang. Swarmed with work, I asked colleague to help tapau from Kayu which is also where she was headed. I had the nasi goreng ayam. The fried rice was very tasty, alot of spices and a fried onions. It it slighty spicy also in the middle of the container. The fried chicken was prepared earlier and the batter is the red type which most mamak use to fry chicken. It's meaty but a bit dry. However, eating it together with the nasi goreng is quite palatable

Roti telur. We went to Kayu after a movie for late night supper. Maybe they were going to close the indoor seating, they switch off the lights after 12pm, which I think it was a bit rude since we were still there. The roti telur served does not look good, indeed, it was so dry and hard, although it was just freshly made. The roti was thick and not fluffy at all. We had to mix with the chicken curry to soften it up.

Indo mee with telur mata kerbau. After we were seated for quite some time, finally a waiter came and took our order. We ordered the simple indo mee with sunny side up. The sunny side up was well-prepared and I like the flowing egg yolk eaten together with the indo mee. The mee was moist and with some saltiness. It was just a standard indo meegoreng and it was slightly expensive.

Indo mee goreng. The restaurant was packed at late night and the service was very bad, we had to waved our hands for so many waiters to request them to clean the table before we sat, but to no avail. The indo meegoreng came with some vegetables, cabbage and fried stuffs. The indo meegoreng was dry and it was slightly salty. This was just a normal indo mee goreng, nothing special.

A good nasi lemak must have a nice sambal to blend with it. If you are eating nasi lemak ayam then your fried chicken must taste nice as well. Or else anything can destroy your whole nasi lemak. The sambal here taste sweet and spicy. More specific then it will be the spicy comes with a bit sweet. However the chicken here very dry and it spoil everything.

Nasi Kandar is one of the popular northern Malaysian dish.We choose a few dishes here, A curry fish, some fried chicken and a little bit of vegetable.The fried chicken is nice, tender and not too oily. The curry leaves on it make it taste even better. The curry fish is nice too, not too spicy and with a nice aroma of spices.And of course, a sirap ais is always perfect match with nasi kandar.

This is one of my favourite hang out spot but not really my favourite makan place. Why do I say so Their Nasi Lemak Ayam is great in taste, the chicken is nicely deep fried, the sambal is sweet and spicy. But the main reason is their price is slightly more expensive than other mamak stalls. So if to enjoy ambience here is nice coz not that crowded. But price really keep me away from here.
