Every time I come here, mee udang is one of the must-haves besides the Chicken Pot Pie. But the bad news is that since today is the third day of CNY 2014, the Chicken Pot Pie stall was not open so I was forced to order other food. The Mee Udang Teluk Kumbar was not bad and we both finished every drop of it. There was a mix of spiciness and soury taste. Very tasty. I guess this cost about RM 6 more or less. The Mee Udang Teluk Kumbar was not bad and we both finished every drop of it. There was a mix of spiciness and soury taste. Very tasty. I guess this cost about RM 6 more or less.

We also ordered the BBQ Chicken sticks with BBQ Sauce, Mango Sauce and Hot and Spicy sauce. I felt there was no distinction between the sauces though and the sauce was too sweet and the meet too hard. Those 9 sticks cost almost RM 12.

The Cuttlefish Kangkung was amazing. The sauce was very thick and tasty. There was also some jellyfish included.

Today there were a group of singers singing old CNY songs and also some Malay songs making the atmosphere more lively. The best part here is eating and enjoying the scenery of the sea in front, especially since we had a strategic spot in front of the sea and had the breeze gently blowing my hair away.

Especially incredible is the cheapest Chicken Pot Pie with thick mushroom carrot soup set meal with any choice of appetizers and cake desserts. They are famous for crepe cakes which I have tried several times. This time there was chocolate Paris Brest cake which was smooth. There was potato salad with croutons.

I used to like the seafood crab Nyonya mee but I guess it was closed down and sold to a stall selling Mexican fajitas which were not bad. I tried toastadas with salsa sauce and prawns at rm 12.80.

Mum was fascinated by the stall selling Conk Thing or Kacang Tumbuk (grounded peanuts) where one can see the stuff made live by the expert chef. Mum is definitely not a person easily fascinated!

An additional bonus would be frequenting this big food court makes one feel like eating everything, plus there are international cuisine from western to Chinese, Filipino, Mexican, German, Japanese, Sarawakian, Hong Kong etc...

Apparently I was informed that Iced Chinese Tea is not very popular among Penangnites as a cold drink, but instead the Iced Herbal Tea is way more popular. The Chinese Herbal Tea in Northam Beach is no exception as well. The Chinese Herbal Tea here is a little sweet, but the good thing is that it has a strong herbal tea aroma. It is not diluted at all, making it quite strong. It also comes with some longan among other herbs which I am not familiar in name. For RM1.80, it is a little expensive but

For RM1.80, it is a little expensive but given the nice scenary of the sea, I guess it is justifiable.

Among the foodstuffs that we chose were taiwan sausage, foochuk and fried wantan. They were all evenly cut and nicely arranged. The Lobak generally is quite delicious. The sausage was flavourful with a little spiciness in it. The foochuk were crispy with generous filling and the same can be said for the fried wantan.
The sauce was delicious as it was thick with a nice savoury taste which complements the lobak.
Generally a good dish to order here.

One famous dish which is easily found in Penang is the Oh Jien. I ordered this Oh Jien, which did not take a long time to arrive. It was piping hot when served, which is a good sign that it was made fresh. The Oh Jien here is moderately sized but it was very juicy. One good thing about this dish is that it has a lot of egg instead of starch, which gives the dish a very eggy taste. I did not really like their sauce on this dish as I feel that it was a little too sweet and thick for my taste.Gener

My client ordered the Fried Jawa Mee and I got to taste some of it as he could not finish it. The fried Jawa Mee served here is quite wet, and although it is not exactly the style which I like it is surprisingly decent. It is a little spicy, but added with the tangy sour lime juice which we could opt to squeeze it in, I find it much more delicious. This dish comes with pieces of tofu, slices of meat and a generous amount of fat beansprouts.

Came to Penang recently for business trip and my client brought me to Northam Beach Cafe for dinner. As per his recommendations, I ordered the Loh Mee Cham. This dish is basically Loh Mee mixed with Prawn Noodles (Or known as Hokkien Mee in Penang). I love the fresh prawns that they served on this bowl of noodles. Even though it is small, but at the very least they are fresh, as compared to the ones in KL which they usually serve even smaller and dried prawns. The mix of the thick Loh Mee broth

The mix of the thick Loh Mee broth and the flavourful prawn mee broth is indeed a very delicious and special style. The noodles are well cooked, and I love the fat beansprouts that they gave.

All in all a delicious dish.

One of my favourite there is the German Sausage! with mash potatoes that cost around Rm8. You can have the sausage either pork, chicken or beef that comes with brown sauce.Unlike normal sausage that we had, this one is more juicy and tender. Best to have it even without its gravy. I ordered some of my favourite snacks, salted fish tofu as seen in the photo , and my favourite chicken wings that grilled to golden brown colour!!!

There was another famous western food stalls and my friend ordered hawaii chicken, lasagna with pasta inside , and mushroom soup. The good things here is you can ordered lots of food and share among your friend.

Mua chee here is named as one the best in Penang.he steamed glutinous rice is being drizzled with a peanut sauce. They have many flavors and you can choose on what you want to mix and match. You can mix two from original, pandan and black sesame. Others include sweetcorn, original and green tea. The taste is quite a delicious one where it has the fragrant peanut taste with it.
