Possibly another one of the best dessert I've had. This durian puff explodes like an atomic bomb in Hawaii. The very first bite would send you to heaven. The amount of durian creme in one of these puffs was....unforgettable. The skin, wrapping the whole thing has a similar texture to a durian, just slightly stronger and more chewy. In conclusion, I would pay up to RM4 for each of this thing. Although I do not know the price. continue reading

bf drove me down to Damansara Perdana for a free food tasting event at Mohammad Chow; a newly opened halal muslim-chinese cuisine restaurant. the restaurant is located at the same row as Ayamas and Pizza Hut. freshly opened, the restaurant looks clean and brand new.left - mixed vegetables and right - a sad but proud display of nearly-empty crisp buttered prawns (i'm guessing everyone loved the prawns!)left - tofu with brown gravy; right - 'kung-pao' chicken which is my particular favorite. i love the salty and tender meat of the chicken.sweet and sour fish, really soft meat and the gravy was cooked well too. not too dilluted and not too thick.Mohammad Chow serves a good plate of chinese cuisine that is fresh and tasty for everyone. the food gave me a good impression on how food can still be awesome and yummy even if pork is not used! i'm impressed, especially at how flavourful their food can be, without unleashing any of the grease you'd feel when you eat chinese hawker food. continue reading

Butter PrawnThis was probably the best butter prawn which I've tasted before. It was so crispy and crunchy that you could eat it all without peeling the shell. Since the specialty of this restaurant is its seafood, I think this was prepared really well. I found out that the seafood chef was actually a Chinese. No wonder, it was cooked to perfection.Well, here's a sneak peek of everything i ate! I would say that it was worth it and I would probably return to the restaurant to try out other dishes on the menu. continue reading

Muhmammad Chow is a newly opened Chinese Muslim place in the Damansara Perdana area. The setting of the restaurant is a relaxed, family dining concept. It has a simple design and no frills to it. This is the last dish that I had from Muhammad Chow which also happened to be one of the best I have ever tasted. This was pretty much comparable to the ones cooked by the Chinese chefs. And maybe it is even better as well. The prawns although it was deep fried was still juicy and fleshy. It is also very well marinated to the extend that the shell of the prawn has the butter taste too. Like I mentioned earlier it was thoroughly deep fried, so you can eat the shell too because it'll be crunchy and nice. Pictured here is a closer glimpse on the prawns. There is bits of delicious crumbs of eggs and butter. Delish! continue reading
