The Iced Lime Juice (RM 3.90) came with 7-Up as the base that gave it the fizziness.

I am definitely revisiting this place earlier in the evening so I could enjoy the atmosphere and ambience.

Mango Milkshake RM7.90
The milkshake was really refreshing. A perfect drink on a warm, humid day =) The mango taste was really strong and subtle, definitely not a cordial drink! *thumbs up!*

Iced Vietnamese Drip Coffee. This is probably the best Vietnamese Drip Coffee I have ever tried in Malaysia. Wait for the coffee to drip into the small glass, stir it well together with the condensed milk, and pour it skillfully (or it will be all over the table) into the bigger glass filled with ice. Take a sip before the ice starts to melt and enjoy the fragrance! If you don’t want it to be overly sweet, do not stir all of the condensed milk together, and when you pour it into the bigger glass,

Fresh Spring Roll. I specifically ordered one without mint leaves, because I never like the taste of a mint leave. It was quite okay, although slightly tasteless. However, if you are perfectly fine with mint leaves, perhaps it would be a good starter for a meal.

Lemongrass Chicken with Rice. This is one of my favorite in Mekong House, and I wasn’t already new to it. The fragrance of lemongrass was always strong, with a little bit of spiciness. Still, I was never satisfied with the fact that the sauce was always too little, and chicken breast was usually served together instead of chicken thigh or drumstick.

Additionally, their waiters and some of the waitresses are extremely friendly. Of so many visits, I have never seen annoyed faces no matter how troublesome some of their customers were, and they’re always prepared to help anyone whenever necessary.

I did not expect this dish to appear on the menu of a Vietnamnese restaurant. I was in the mood for something salty and fragrant, so this dish was ordered. The prawns still have the shells on, which I find it a little difficult to eat, even slower eating process when the size of the prawn is small. For students who are rushing for classes, they might want to order something else. Aside from that, the salted egg yolk coating was pretty awesome. Here at Mekong House, their version is equally good as other established Vietnamnese restaurants in KL. The vermicelli is blanched till just the right texture, with a little QQ texture still remaining. The spring rolls were absolutely delicious with generous savoury fillings inside, deep fried till perfect golden crispy brown. Grilled chicken here is to die for. It taste very much like satay. The meat was really tender and flavourful from the marinade. Pour in the sauce, have a good mix and you are good to go.

I wasn't very impressed with an earlier dish I had here but the chicken chop with rice was recommended by a friend. At RM 13.90, it's not something I would have often. The chicken is fantastic! It's still juicy and tender and tasted like teriyaki. A sweet-sour sauce is provided which amps up the taste but I think the chicken already tastes great on its own. Soup's not bad and rice was slightly too hard. They forgot my friend's order as the place is quite busy so make sure to remind the waiter.

Mekong House is a cafe which attracts alot of students because of its reasonable price and huge portion of food. It specializes in vietnamese food, but the taste is more localized.
