After the satisfying dinner of fresh seafood at the back alley, we walked along Jalan Bunga Raya for another well-known oyster omelette (蚵煎,pronounced as Oh Chien in Hokkien Language) among the locals for generations.Located in Medan Makan Boon Leong, this stall can be easily spotted with crowd constantly waiting for this delicacy. It only operates from 8pm onwards and do expect a long queue with stuffy hot weather.Each round of cooking takes around 10 minutes and can only prepare up to 6 servi
Imagine our expression when there are more than 20 orders ahead. The lady beside will then pack according to the orders.
It will then garnish with coriander leaves, with the option of dry chilies.
We have chosen to dine in the coffee shop just next to it, hoping to have it while it is still hot. Looks delicious, but taste ok only. The oysters were small, starchy with the amount of flour being poured inside.
Dry chilies were spicy, but nothing more than that, no fragrance at all.
Skip this if you are in town, not worth the time.
Another overrated Malacca food.
