Had the 3 layer iced coffee, Siam Laksa and Curry Laksa for a quick Saturday lunch. Love the Siam Laksa as it was a combo of curry and asam laksa, the best of both worlds and perfect for those who can't make up their mind.the curry laksa on the other hand wasn't too spicy and the broth was very rich in coconut flavours.

if you dine in at this restaurant, the waiters will tell you that char kuey teow is a 20 mins late.and if you intend to dine there you better go early because it is always a long queuebut being a rather high class restaurant when you order take out they give you a styrofoam container instead of a more sturdier plastic containerso by the time you are ready to eat your take out, the styrofoam has some what disintegrated.

Kari Hantu Set. The set came with a bowl of rice, beef curry, lobak and ju hur char. This is a unique set instead of the normal nasi lemak. The beef rendang was quite tasty, spicy and slightly salty. The beef was being cut till small slices and mashed together with the rendang. The lobak was a normal one, packed with ingredients. The ju hur char was so-so too. I just like the beef rendang.

Cendol. The shaved ice was topped with cendol and red beans. The ingredients were generous as they gave lots of cendol and red bean. The santan was not too thick, but I still can taste it in the syrup. The cendol was smooth and soft, it was slightly sweet. The read beans were very sweet and powdery texture. As a whole, it was a good dessert to be enjoyed during hot weather.

To cure the hot weather, we ordered a glass of three layer tea. It came in three distinctive layers: teh, milk and brown sugar. We had to stir all the layers together to get a well-balanced taste. It has some ice cubes to keep the temperature down. The drink was sweet due to the brown sugar, and it was quite fragrant with the teh and milk taste. It was not a bad drink afterall.

The lam mee came with hard boiled egg, prawns, chicken strips, beansprouts and spring onions. Well, what I could say was this does not taste like lam mee, it tasted more like chicken noodle soup to me. The soup was towards the tasteless flavour. The ingredients were fresh though, the prawns were small sized but succulent. The bean sprouts added some crunchiness to the mee.

I was feeling itchy mouth, so I ordered the red ruby dessert. It came in a bowl of shave ice, red ruby and nangka strips. The ice was not shaved nicely as it was quite hard to bite. The syrup had strong santan flavour, slightly salty. The red ruby was crunchy on the inside and stick soft on the outside, it was bland. The nangka strips were aromatic and slightly sweet.

The mee jawa came with hard boiled egg, lettuce, deep fried garlic, beancurd, potato and sambal sotong. I squeezed some lime juice into it to add some tanginess. I took a sip of the broth and it was more tomato-ish, which I don't prefer. However, after mixing up with the sambal of the sotong, the broth tasted exceptionally tasty. The sambal was spicy and very nice. The potato was soft.

The menu here is quite alot and cover all the essentially Penang foods like char kueh teow, curry mee, prawn mee, loh bak, nasi lemak, mee goreng, and i prefer the smell of the rojak sauce and the generous helping of crushed peanuts, it makes this rojak an enjoyable snack.very delicious and fresh fruits used here
