Truly a hidden gem in the middle of no where. Over the long Christmas weekend, I accompanied my sister to check out on her newly renovated suite in Suria Bukit Jelutong. Truly a hidden gem in the middle of no where. Over the long Christmas weekend, I accompanied my sister to check out on her newly renovated suite in Suria Bukit Jelutong. Being a new residential building, it was fairly empty with not many food choices.
Since we were waiting for the furniture movers to arrive, we googled and managed to find this small hidden Chinese restaurant in this averagely old and deserted looking building, about 2-3km away.
Surpringly when we arrived, there were quite a number of cars in the parking lot. Mostly were shoppers from the Jaya Grocer located at the same floor just right in front of this Chinese Restaurant.
Apparently they were famous for their roasted meat, but we opt for other choices instead. I had the salt and pepper chicken with rice and my sister had their fish head noodles.
It was really really good. The toasted garlic on the chicken was so aromatic coupled with the juicy chicken despite being deep fried, it was really mouthwatering. As for the fish head noodle, it was good too. The broth was milky and the fish head was fresh, without the fishy smell.
We were really excited to be able to find such an awesome restaurant in this secluded and deserted mall. Will definitely come by again if we visit this place in future!
