Crepe filled with orange cream cheese and hazelnut cream (Filloas Dulces Naranja). After finishing our main meals and tapas, we ordered the crepe as dessert. The crepe was folded in a triangle shape and flooded with hazelnut cream sauce. The sauce was not strong flavour and it was sweet. The crepe however was filled with surprise – orange cream cheese fillings. It made the crepe tangy and sour.

Cordero Paella. Since Spanish is famous for its paella, we ordered the cordero paella. It is aspanish saffron rice with tender leg of lamb pieces, marinated with herbs and vegetables. I was anticipating for this dish as this is the first time I try paella. The paella was served in a wok and we squeezed some lemon juice onto the rice. The rice was nicely done, not too hard but it was quite salty. The lamb was tender too. Not bad actually.

Fresh button mushrooms (Champignones Al Ajillo). This dish is fresh button mushroom sautéed with garlic onion, herbs and olive oil. It came in a small plate but filled to the brim. The sautéed sauce was strong with flavours of garlic and onions, which I like. The button mushrooms were big and juicy. It was not too salty and can eaten without dipping with bread. I hope the sauce could be thicker though.

Baked escargots (Cabrillas y Caracoles). Once I spotted escargots in the menu, without hesitating, I ordered it. It is a dish of snails cooked with garlic, herb butter and cream. When it arrived, I could not smell the usual strong garlic cheesy smell, I was slightly taken aback. After I took a bite of the escargots and the sauce, I was quite disappointed because the sauce was slightly lack luster, not strong enough for my liking.

I usually will try at least one pasta of a restaurant that I visit. I was looking at the menu and found this Chef's Special - Saffron Linguini RM28.90++. Saffron is said to be the most expensive spice in the world. I was attracted by the name and so I ordered this. Not exaggerating, this can be considered as one of the best pasta that I have ever tasted, I will mark it at least 4.5/5 in terms of taste, freshness of the seafood. This pasta comes with a large prawn, 2 fresh mussels, squids , fish fillet and served in a creamy sauce, but not really like the ordinary carbonara sauce that we usually eat. Besides that, I also feel surprised to see they put spring onion on top of pasta instead of other herbs like basil.

All food are subject to 10% service tax and 6% government tax.

The side dish - potatoes are very nice too, definitely as good as the chicken. The other vegetables are first slightly fried with olive oil then served on the sizzling plate, all are perfectly matched with the sauce.

La Cocina is a Spanish restaurant, and Paella is a rice dish origin from Spanish, so we must order Paella here. There are a few kind of Paella to choose from, but I and my other friends ordered a Negres Paella (RM70 for 2pax) to share. I don't know what Negres means but we chose this because this is quite special that it's black in colour. The colour is actually comes from the squid ink. This Paella is cooked with saffron which is said to be the most expensive spice in the world. It comes with 2 prawns, 2 mussels, some small shrimps, fish fillet and squid. The taste are just normal though, didn't really meet my expectation, but the seafood are all very fresh, especially for the prawns and mussels. The portion of the rice is quite small too, I suppose it's just almost enough for the portion of 1 person.
