Soon Yen kopitiam, located at Jalan Tengkera Kota Laksamana, a spacious kopitiam that occupies two shop houses, besides typical hawker foods, one of the food stall there serves western breakfast as well!Breakfast set. Comes together with two pieces of toast (served in four pieces), sausage, hams, baked beans, cucumber slices, tomato slices and a sunny-side-up, which are almost similar to what can be found in normal Big Breakfast set from café.

The toast is super crispy, oven to slightly brownish and golden color; you can pair them with ham and sausage to make your own sandwich. For me, I would poke the egg yolk and dip the deep-fried toast into the watery egg yolk, the sensation is perfect! Not to say superb, but definitely above average.

We noticed a lot of tables ordering this, so it piqued our curiosity - we just had to try it. The fish balls are home-made, and taste like a mix of pork and fish (which I think it was) - it was fresh, soft, and very tasty. Popiah was not too oily, and juicy. Prawn crackers were very crispy.

This is one of three "famous" duck noodles in Malacca; this one being in the Tengkera/Limbongan area. Every day we passed by, it's crowded, and finally on the third day we decided to try. Verdict? Well, the soup is very herby, and the sauce is very starchy. Flavour-wise, not much beyond the duck, which was tender and not very gamey.Kuey teow was a poor choice, I should've opted for yellow mee.
