这里的福建面,是我上一次在这里吃过一次之后再次回来吃的,这次我点了福建面,味道好像熟了一点,没上一次的那么有锅气,而且我还吃到有一点的油腻,可能是今天有点失手吧。下次再回来试其他的。

According to the friend that brought us to Kedai Kopi Dan Makanan Ming Hoe, the star of the restaurant is their hokkien mee. I couldn’t agree more! Each part of the noodle was covered with delicious brown sauce, and the noodle itself was very tasty and springy. The condiments of pork, sotong, prawns and vegetables completed the dish. The best part is, there were lots of fried pork lard pieces, which definitely enhanced the aroma of the dish. Truly a must-try!

The Cantonese fried koay teow in Kedai Kopi Dan Makanan Ming Hoe was quite nice as well. The noodles were presumably fried before the gravy was put on top, hence the brownish colour. The gravy was thick with egg and starch. There were some prawns, pork, sotong and some green vegetables as part of the dish. Overall, a thumbs-up, as the dish was filled with wok hei. Definitely recommended!

The fried fish cake in Kedai Kopi Dan Makanan Ming Hoe was absolutely delicious. The fish cake was fried until extremely golden brown, hence the skin was very crispy. The inside was juicy and very appealing, especially when dipped with the sweet spicy chilli sauce. The fish cakes were thinly sliced for easy consumption, and was served with some cut cucumbers as well.

Hubby and I were visiting some friends nearby Jalan Ipoh, and the friend wanted to bring us to go to Kedai Kopi Dan Makanan Ming Hoe to try out their dishes. Since it was dinnertime, we agreed. The first item to arrive was the lala in superior stock. I thought the soup was quite spicy, as there were generous helpings of julienned ginger and chopped birds eye chilli in the soup. The lala was relatively fresh, and quite aplenty for the three of us. A recommended dish if you like spicy gingery soup
