my all time favourie food is the pasta and i love this tomato based pasta at the italinnies at the gardens midvalley . here the restaurant is good with nice food. the pasta is well cooked and top with the cheese also . Italian spirit of sharing meals and ensure that the whopper portions can be finished.the portion is really big and enough to be share among two persons
Mushrooms are my all time favourites. I can eat time anywhere, anytime and anyday. We decided to order the stuffed mushrooms, just to try it out. It was surprisingly good. It is definitely as good as it looks. There were tomatoes on the top and the stuffing was quite filling because it was in a large amount.
Before our dishes arrived, each table gets a complimentary bread & sauce dip. The bread crust was quite hard and dry but if you dip it a little in the sauce, it's a pretty good appetizer. The middle was soft and you could practically tear them into half. The sauce is a bit oily, I would say. Not good for health freaks like me. We didn't finish the bread anyway.
The Classic Carbonara is usually the most basic pasta dish that a chef have to master before other dishes. The serving was enough for two person and I shared this with my friend. The moment we were served, the fragrant smell of cheese was overwhelming. We mixed it while it was still hot and the taste was spectacular. The white sauce coated the pasta and it was worth every single cent spent.
We ordered two dishes for two person. However the portion is REALLY big and can be shared for as many as 3 person for an asian.
Two different types of bread served together with olive oil and vinegar was complimentary, if I'm not mistaken. I had the bread alone without dipping into any of those as usual. It was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. So satisfying!
My Italian Clams Soup. This was my appetizer. It tasted more like a bowl of tomato soup. The clams were so small and it was pretty obvious that they were not fresh at all.
Toasted Bruschetta. This was his appetizer but I didn't taste any because I didn't like tomatoes then.
His Parmesan Crusted Fish. It was deep fried fish fillet served over red onion strings with white capers sauce. The fish tasted normal but I personally think the onions were delicious.
My Risotto with Asparagus and Chicken. It may look good, but honestly, it was the worst choice I had ever made. I guess it was probably due to my own taste bud. Additionally, it was too oily and creamy to the extent that I nearly puked while eating. Only the chicken managed to satisfy me.
