Amuse bouche of tuna with aged balsamic vinegar. Moist and meaty. Spinach & endive salad with golden fried egg. The highlight was the egg, which was lightly cooked and thinly battered. Break the runny yolk and spread it over the sweet red onion compote and crunchy veggies for a gorgeous-tasting salad. Orecchiette with lamb ragout, fava beans & pecorino cheese. A hearty platter to placate both carb-lovers and carnivores. The best flavors of Italian food in one recipe. Creme brulee sampler: vanilla, coffee, pistachio & strawberry. We couldn't get enough of the rich, milky custard base for each of the four flavors. Strawberry gelato & mixed berry sorbet. Fruity and frosty. continue reading

Beef rib, oh, beef rib, I would imagine you to be as smooth as pork rib could be. Indeed it was in il Lido. The first rib was very tender and smooth. Almost no effort required to debone it if you asked me. Juicy in the mouth, the texture was close to pork rib. However the other rib was a little tough and comparably less satisfactory. Originated from Singapore, IL Lido is such a gorgeous restaurant that would give you a great fine dining experience.The Pan Roasted Scallops is so fresh, served with Roast Garlic Cream and Crispy Prosciutto, I really like this starter. If you are a fans of Foie Gras, then you should try the Pan Fried Goose Liver with Saba Wine Must and Sweet Potato Galette. Very well-done, and one won't have the oily sicky feeling after having the dish. Another favourite of mine is the Squid Ink Tonnarelli with Spicy Crab and Tarragon Foam. Natural seafood flavour really matches very well with the salty squid ink. Thumbs up! Main dish is a surprise. The Pan Roasted Atlantic Cod fish is very fresh, and it is served with the preserved Cabbage sort of .. and the Pumpkin Sauce definitely add a twist to the dish. The Roasted Sukling Pig with Plum Sauce is quite a disappointment though. The pork skin is not as crispy as I've expected, but the meat itself is very well-seasoned. As for dessert, you would never gone wrong with Molten Lava Chocolate Cake that served with Vanilla Ice Cream. The warm melted chocolate from the cake is rich, and definitely is a perfect finish to a gorgeous meal. continue reading
