After the food hunt event at 1 Utama, we going to another event at G Tower. House have the re-launch party starting from 6.30 pm til late. The theme for tonight is green and white. Live performances and many games will be coming up. High tea here is more about variety than it is about top quality. Cookies were sweet and but buttery or dense. The chocolate on the strawberries were not particular high quality - mostly tastes of sweetened oil (as does most inexpensive chocolate). JoinMe (a food review website) offered a free taste voucher of House - Restaurant.Bar.Winepost @G Tower and coincidentally, it is only a mere walking distance of 5 minutes from my office and also from Ampang Park LRT station. Comfortable interior of stylish wooden design.As the taste voucher only valid during dinner, which at this office area, happens to be less crowded. On another perspective, this can be a perfect place for romantic dinner or even chill out with friends. Penne Pasta with Salmon RM29.90"In smoked salmon cream sauce, vine ripped cherry tomatoes"While cherry tomatoes giving out sour yet appetizing flavour, the cream sauce complimented it really well with its rich texture and salty taste. Penne pasta was cooked to perfection,with cream sauce bursting out on every bite,leaving me speechless in its wonder.All the ingredients were working very well except the smoked salmon fish which supposed to be under the main spotlight. I found it to be rather bland as a fish lover.Squid Ink Linguini Aglio Olio RM31.90"Assorted fresh seafood, scallop, prawn, mussel, chili, garlic & olive oil."I was quite surprised to see the generous portion of seafood in a plate. I found it to be average with the slightly hard texture of linguini. (L) Virgin Apple Mojito RM13.90"Fresh apples, lime chunks, mint leaves, brown sugar with a dash of soda"Been loving the fresh taste and after breath from peppermint that I have ordered this virgin apple mojito from the exotic coolers series. It came in a tall glass and was exactly everything I was expecting. I would definitely come for this again. Located at Centre of City, 3 minutes walking distance from Ampang Park LRT. House is separated into two section: Dining Section which is more homely feel; and Drinking section which is more party feel. It's atmospheric and pop music is played on the background."House" Club is toasted white bread layered with turhey bacon and ham, tomato, lettuce and fried egg. Egg melts in the mouth and ham is flavorful. You'd have a hard time restraining yourself from keep eating it.The salad is very appetizing with the fresh lemon vinegar sauce。 French fries is crispy and not oily as well.Penne Pasta with Salmon (RM 29.90) has the wonderful cream sauce, tasteful as well as tasty. The salmon is smoked until the skin is crispy yet the meat is juicy. Penne Pasta is cooked with cherry tomatoes and peas with cheese. All the ingredients are well blended and has great food chemistry.Totally a recommended restaurant. continue reading
