This is my second time trying the fried chicken from this stall. As usual the fried chicken was extra large except this time i asked for spicy instead of the normal fried chicken. The staff only put a thin layer of curry powder on it which makes the fried chicken sort of tasteless except for those miniscule parts with the curry powder on it.

This is one of the newest stalls in pavilion and they specialize in extra large fried chicken. I got the original fried chicken with no spices on it as I wanted to see how different it would be from the other fried chicken out there. The staff only fries the chicken if there is an order so do expect to wait at least 10 minutes for your fried chicken. The skin of the chicken was golden brown but not as oily as I thought it would be. The flesh was dry and chunky though but the chicken was very big

The skin of the chicken was golden brown but not as oily as I thought it would be. The flesh was dry and chunky though but the chicken was very big, nearly the size of two of my palms. The chicken was pretty tasteless as the staff only dusted a layer of seasonings on the skin and I can’t taste anything except the chicken.

Hot-Star is from Taiwan and it is pretty famous over there where customers would form a long queue just to purchase it. I ordered the medium spiciness fried chicken and was told I had to wait 10minutes for the chicken to be fried. The spicy seasonings were not very strong and the staff only put a thin layer on top of the chicken unlike those in shilin or uncle bob where they put a generous amount of chili powder on it.
