Deep fried soft tofu - absolutely must order. This is an appetizer, light and crispy on the outside, ultra soft on the inside. Ready to eat, not for dipping into soup. Served with thai chilli sauce but a bit hard to dip and coat it properly.Sliced pork - fresh and very fast-cooking. Don't leave too long in the soup!Yam sticks. Best option for some starch."Ice" tofu. Nothing special. Can give it a miss.Assorted pork balls - our staple here. We always order all the varieties. Meaty and juicy.Signature pork broth - this is the main reason to come here. Very flavourful. Sweet, savoury, fragrant. Unlike other places, you pay for your soup (free top ups/refills) because it has a lot of ingredients in it and it's thick.Various condiments available for your meal, set at your table so it's very convenient. continue reading

Thanks to Daniel for introducing me this fantastic steamboat shop called Hot Pot Bone Essence! There are lots of branch in Malaysia, but we (with my bf) went to the one at Kuchai Lama. It's only for RM14.80++ per person for the individual set meal!*only applicable to happy hours which are 12pm-3pm and 9pm-12pm.The basic individual set meal for 2.What they famous for is their steamboat broth, the Pork Bone Soup. The soup is originally pale white in colour, which means that it is filled with bone essence. There are corns, pork bones, celery and scallion in it.Their deep fried tofu is a must order. Crispy on the outside while it is still soft inside.Different sauces available for your preference. continue reading
