In this entry, I would like to talk about a place called Hoofed which emphasise on alcoholic drinks such as cocktail, wine and beer at the same time they provide a very good sensational pork dishes to satisfy every needs of a customer. Hoofed, strategically located at Taman Tun Dr Ismal, which is just right above Tom, Dick & Harry's. The underground cellar holds a very creative tagline of "Wine, Dine and Swine with us" is definitely ear catching.First of all, we had the Bacon Fried Rice RM19.60.If you are a Bacon or in Chinese 'lap cheong' lover, you would like the taste of this fried rice. Simply delicious! Then we had this Roast Pork Belly (RM17.90). The texture of the meat is very soft and it melts in my mouth. Pork lover must try this!!!This Roasted Suckling Pig (full) RM170, (half) RM90 catches my attention the most!Normally I only had roasted suckling pick in some really typical Chinese restaurant but I would give some credits for this. The skin was crispy and music started coming out of my mouth in every single bite... I know I might be a little exaggerated but that's how I can express my feelings at that moment! Two of us can finish half of the suckling pig! The juiciness & tenderness till the very last bite! I'm 100% sure that I will come back for this... Facebook: www.facebook.com/pages/Hoofed/125805970798886 continue reading

Bacon Fried RiceThis was very fragrant because there was bacon in it. You could taste small slices of bacon as you eat the rice. The serving was pretty huge so i could share it with my friend. The garnish used complimeted the dish very well. I guess I'll be ordering this again the next time I head over to the restaurant continue reading

I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago called Hoofed. Sound like doggy “Hoof hoof” right? Hoofed has a very tastefully done interior design that makes you go “ga ga” as it looks very sophisticated and high end. I started off with Duck Salad. The salad consists of duck breast, century egg, half boiled egg, fresh vegetable and vinegar for dressing. The taste is really special as I never tried duck salad before. Nice! continue reading

TTDI isn't exactly paradise for pork-lovers, but Hoofed could help change that. Besides various pork-laden recipes, there's a satisfactory range of wines available here; don't bring your own, since the corkage charge is a staggering RM100 per bottle. Siew yoke. A large portion, but it lacked the show-stopping succulence, unctuous flavor and perfect crackling that we always hope for when ordering this. "Lam yee" fried pork belly. An addictively savory snack, thanks to the fermented bean curd batter. Surprisingly well-prepared _ crisp, piping-hot and not greasy at all. Pork ribs. Chunky and reasonably tender, but rather uninspiring. The meat was bland and seemed less than fresh, while the cloyingly sweet sauce did it no favors. Half-portion of suckling pig. Hearty, with crunchy skin, but very, very fatty. De Berloti Willowglen Cabernet Merlot (Australia). Is there room for improvement? Sure, but it's still early days. Head here if you wanna escape the crowds that throng this street's pubs. Service is sparkling, with lotsa warm smiles. continue reading
