I patron a lot of Ramen restaurant, but Hokkaido Ramen Santouka's Ramen is one of the expensive ramen restaurant for casual dining. The picture of the set meal look small but the actual portion is large. You get the best of both world as you get to have noodle and rice. But I personally prefer the rice more as the Ramen is a little too salty. I'm not aa pork lover so I don't fancy the pork in the Ramen so much as it too fat. Customer service in the store are just average because the staffs have very little knowledge with their products. Moreover the restaurant is very crowded and too noisy. It nothing close to the price you paid.  continue reading

When dining here, I only have one piece of advice: don't bother ordering anything but the most expensive - the pork cheek ramen. For perhaps about the price of 20% more than the average bowl of ramen here, you get 2-3x more pork, and it's super tender premium pork cheek meat. The meat is really smooth, silky, and tender. I'm slightly bothered that it's served cool instead of warm, but one dip into the soup and problem solved.Though the soup base is "super salty" to some, I find that I like it this way. Rich, thick, and full of porcine loveliness. I still consider this to be my favourite ramen in Malaysia. continue reading

as you have or haven’t known the boyfie loves Japanese cuisine! one day his colleague brought him to this Hokkaido Ramen Santouka and he loved it and promised to bring me there! and so he did! we bought some macarons before heading here.Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is situated at the 6th floor of Pavilion KL, in Tokyo Street.love that they have these cutie miniature models at the entrance, giving you an idea of each dish and its price. it’s like a 3D menu! and i am happy to say that, what you see is 99.99% of what you’ll get!you also get to look at how your meal is prepared!Toroniku Pao | RM 12++premium pork cheek pao with special saucetender slice of meat sandwiched between some green and special white sauce and enveloped by soft pao. the meat melted in our mouths and the sauce was not overpowering at all…Shoyu Ramen | RM 25 (Regular)ramen in soy sauce-flavoured broth topped with cha shu, nori, fish cake thingy, strips of bamboo shoots and sesame seeds.mee was springy! doi-doi feel, 爽口 just the way i likey! the broth was slightly salty, well of course it’s soy sauce-based broth…but the boyfie enjoyed berry muchy!Kara-Miso Ramen | RM 27 (regular)similar bowl of ramen but replaced with spicy soy bean paste broth!i prefer mine! slightly spicy… suited my taste bud perfectly! the broth was as flavourful too! hmmm… continue reading

Salad. Actually I was looking for another Japanese restaurant but I could not find it. So, we decided to dine at Santuoka since The food was good the last time I tried. Their ramen is not cheap actually and comes in 3 different sizes. The salad included sweet corns, lettuce and tomatoes. I am a fan of sweet corns and I love the combination of Japanese salad sauce. It was very aromatic and I hope I could have a bigger portion. continue reading
