The Fried Hokkien Mee for a person (RM 6.50) was quite tasty. Fortunately, the noodles were not as thick as what people normally use outside in KL and Selangor. There were prawns, cabbage, spring onions and pork cooked together. The sauce is thick and tasty.

The Kong Bao Styled Cooking of Fried Mantis was the best I have ever eaten. The best part is one does not need to peel the skin which is quite difficult. The price is only about less than RM 15.

We also ordered the Claypot Kangkung which was so fresh, green and crunchy. I truly love the kangkung and finished every morsel of it. It was my first time eating kangkung cooked in claypot.

Lastly, since I did not eat much noodles, I ordered the Guinness Fried Chicken Wings which were incredibly fragrant with the smell and taste of Guinness Stout.

The entire meal cost us RM 59 and not bad for a kopitiam which is clean and not as messy as the normal ones.

I was supposed to eat the Penang Loh Mee at Asia Cafe Puchong but I suddenly saw this place when I passed by. I saw a crowd eating there so I guess it must have been tasty. I ordered the Ulu Yam Loh Mee (Small: RM 6.50) which is the signature dish here. Luckily I listened to my friend's advice to order the small portion because the portion is very big. The thick soup with a lot of eggs inside is very tasty. The thickness also caused us to feel full easily. There were just pork and also chai sim (lettuce) inside.

I also ordered a very weird dish called Shu Fen Gan (RM 6.50) as I am the type of person who likes to pick the strangest food off the menu to order. The Shu Fen Gan is fried like Char Koay Teow with a lot of tauge and also fried pork lard. I find the dish interesting but not many will like the soggyness and the soft transparent flour that is used. Well, it is still edible.

The drinks are very cheap here, at only RM 1.50 for herbal tea (pat chee chou) that was not too sweet, to my pleasure.

I totally agree that this is the best Selangor Style Loh Mee as before this I never like this.

The prices are quite reasonable and the place is quite clean.

Hokkien Mee. Apart from Hock Kee's signature Loh Mee, we ordered the hokkien mee as well. The hokkien mee consisted meat slices and vegetables. The hokkien mee was cooked till not too dry, but it was not watery either. The taste of hokkien mee was there and it was not too salty. Overall, it was a decent hokkien mee but nothing spectacular. I might return again for the loh mee though.

Loh Mee. Since the restaurant name consisted of loh mee from Ulu Yam, of course we have to order a bowl of loh mee to taste. The loh mee was dark in color which I always prefer than the white version. The loh mee was the big thick noodle which was soft. The loh mee broth was thick but the taste of a loh mee broth was not strong enough for my liking. I added some vinegar into the broth.

I have never came across kangkung vege served in claypot style, so we thought of trying this signature dish as well. The vege was stir-fried until the right doneness, while retaining its crisp on the stalk and bright green colour. We also found some chopped birds eye chillies (cili padi) and generous minced garlic. I enjoyed biting on the spicy chillies which is not a challenge for me Overall it had a very appetizing wok hei, but we thought that the sauce was salty. But I am sure that it will g

Overall it had a very appetizing wok hei, but we thought that the sauce was salty. But I am sure that it will go very well with steamed rice.

The texture of broth was just right, not overdosed with corn starch. Noodles were nicely cooked until having the right chewy texture. The only complaint was the broth taste sweet more than salty which left us confused for a while. Perhaps we were used to the white loh mee. After adding some drops of vinegar, it tasted much better. A tall glass bottle of vinegar will be placed on your table so that you can control amount of vinegar. We thought that this dish lacked strong wok hei. Overall it was just average.
