This place is one of the better bah kut teh (BKT) joints in Petaling Jaya. Nothing like chowing down here during a cold wet night. Their soup is full of flavour (not overpowering) packed with all the cuts of pork you fancy. Always add the spare parts (liver, intestine, etc) as those are the best parts when eating BKT. Apart from BKT they also serve up nice braised black mushroom which compliments the BKT well.It is a normal corner restaurant which is rather open to the elements. No frills just good food with fast service. Highly recommended! continue reading

The Bak Kut Teh is delicious. Its taste and smell are awesome. It is dense enough to pass my minimal grade for Bak Kut Teh. Another highly recommended food is the mushroom in this shop. The mushroom is soft and tasty. If you do not wanna eat a lot of meats, you can order one-person bak kut teh and other side dishes like vegetables, mushroom, YaoZhaGuai and others. The vege is nice as well and YaoZhaGuai a little bit not fresh. As shown in photo, it costs my RM 39 in total. I share it with one friend and we are totally satisfied. continue reading

Dry braised bak kut teh is always what I will order in a Bak Kut Teh restaurant. Espcially in Heng Kee, this is a must order. It is so well braised with some herbs and thick soy sauce. Best eating with a big bowl of rice and sipping on the bak kut teh soup accompanied with a cup of chinese tea. Life. Meats for one person is still too much for us (two of us) to finish. For your information, it was quite packed during weekends. continue reading

One of the best bak kut teh in PJ is in this part of the old town. This place is slightly hidden from the main street, but well the crowd that keeps going to this place never get lesser. I have been to this place ever since young. This place is non air cond and only operate at night. My favorite bak kut teh dish is actually the needle mushrooms. The needle mushrooms is soft yet crunchy. The needle mushroom will absorb all the herbal flavor of the bak kut teh. The other bak kut teh flavors are delicious and authentic. They will give you extra serving of soup when you asked for it. continue reading

We ordered quite a lot: needle mushroom, bean curd, crueller ("yao char kuey"), cabbage and 2 pork dishes and 1 pork liver. The right bowl is the pork belly. It is definitely a must-order dish. The 'fats' and the lean meat were distributed evenly and the proportion was just nice. It was really tender and the fats had melt-in-mouth kind of feelings. However, the pork ribs were a miss as the bone were very big and not as tender as the pork belly. The bak kuh teh soup was full of herbs taste and it was really fragrant. continue reading
