Signature Dishes
My colleague like to eat the Hainanese Chicken Chop here. She said the chicken chop here is the best. The chicken chop here comes with a fried egg and french fries. For me, the chicken chop is a tad too salty for me but it doesn't seem so for my colleagues. Since I do not feel like getting sorethroat from eating chicken chop, I ordered Hainanese Lamb Shank. The lamb was served in small pieces in a mini claypot and with 3 pieces of toasted bread since I did not want to eat rice. I was so full from the entire meal. The lamb was tender enough but I did not like the strong smell of seasoning from the spices such as bunga cengkih which I spitted all out. We also ordered the Hainanese Toast which came with a thick spread of kaya and also marjerin. The bread was even wholemeal bread and it tasted delicious!

Hainanese Chicken Chop. Since it was named "hainan" cafe, we ordered the signature Hainanese Chicken Chop. The chicken chop came with fries, tomatoes, lettuce, egg, beans and deep fried chicken. The chicken was topped with mushroom sauce. It was a bit salty but better than other kopitiams that serve the same dish. I wish the mushroom sauce and the beans could be cooked together.
