Cabbage. Apart from the meat dish and porridge, we still require some nutrition to balance up the meal, thus we ordered the boiled cabbage. It was a very simple vegetable dish with deep fried garlic being sprinkled on top. The portion was not too big. The cabbages were soft and big pieces. With some soy sauce, it was not too salty. It went well with the porridge too. continue reading

continue reading

The porridge here is very smooth. I don't know how they cooked it until so smooth. It doesn't seems like they blend it. Else must be they cooked for very long time. I like their kung po frog the most. Because the porridge is tasteless, so i need some dish that is very strong in taste. This kung po frog is spicy in taste. By mixing the sauce is more than enough. Then the frog meat is very smooth too. continue reading

Ginger Onion Frog (姜蔥田雞)Price range from RM12 (a frog), RM24 (2 frogs), and RM33 (3 frogs)All the frogs are lively before killed and cooked. Therefore they are so fresh and the meat is fat and so 鮮甜 sweet. I like the ginger onion gravy compared to the kung po. This is because ginger onion is more fragrance and would able to taste the frog aroma but the kung po is more just spicy and numb my tongue.Besides, they are serve rice at RM1 each bowl. There are also some other side dishes.... eg vegetables (RM12), thai style chicken or lemon chicken (RM12) and thai style tofu (RM8) continue reading

This restaurant serves other side dish like loh bak. I'm sure most of you eaten porridge with yao char koay before. Have you ever think of dip the loh bak into porridge and eat it? Well I would say the taste is quite interesting. The deep fried loh bak skin immediately soften after you dip in porridge. If you can't accept this way of eating, you can still dip it with chili sauce. continue reading
