Fong Wah operates until the wee hours of the morning; and is popular both day and night. During lunch time; it's packed with office workers. Dinner time, with families and groups of friends. Supper/wee hours; with late night lorry drivers, those hungry for midnight snack and also clubbers with hangover digging into some light food before heading home. It has almost 25-30 dishes altogether to go along with a small bowl of plain, good ol' porridge. My favorites are their braised eggs, braised peanuts, salted fish and minced pork. Their 'tong sui'-normally barley with gingko nuts is nice too!

A little dish is good enough to fill up the whole bowl of porridge. The peanut is very sweet. I like to pour in some of the sauce into my porridge so it will has the peanut fragrance. The bitter gout isn't bitter at all. It does actually taste sweet because it is covered by egg.
