Located beautifully at the lake side within the Taylors University Lakeside Campus, this branch of ecobar clearly needs to put in a little more effort when serving their food, even if the dinners are simply mostly students and youngsters. This does not justify them serving lousy food just because the crowd still return anyhow whenever the café is open. My verdict after a soup, salad, and a main dish is that these returning crowds simply revisit because and only because they need food, or a place
Ambiance was not too bad while dusk beautifully sooth the dining mood very easily. The fist to arrived was the Calamari Salad which is crispy but also greasy at the same time on a bed of leaf lettuce. Leaf lettuce has a tender, sweet, mild flavor that makes them versatile for any salad, but with no effort at all, the salad was absolutely uninteresting at any level.
Fish and chips can never be anymore unattractive than this, but I have to give it to them that it was pretty fresh.
The soup, is by far the worst I have ever had. My 4 year old niece probably do a better job making canned or powdered instant soups. It was diluted and I would say, don't serve this if you haven't enough to plate it.
