Dragon-i's "Wrap of Eternal Love" promo marks an early start to the dumpling festival. A 1-kilogram glutinous rice dumpling behemoth, comprising abalone, dried scallops, pork belly, chestnuts, peanuts, lotus seeds, salted egg yolk & mushrooms. The rice wasn't flavourful or sticky enough, though the ingredients at the centre were OK. Dessert dumplings with Hokkaido red beans. Also rather bland. We might need to head elsewhere to satisfy our dumpling cravings this year.

The taste of the of the meat is really nice it taste like char siew which is sweet. The buns are really hot and it is not oily. Stir-Fried Carrot Cake
The carrot cake was stir fried with some pepper an soy sauce. The outer layer was a bit crispy whereas the inside was really soft. They were stir fried along with bean sprouts, eggs, onions and also chinese sausages. For stir fried dishes, they must have enough those savoury wok taste, the so called "wok hei" and then it would be said as delicious. This carrot cake definitely are delicious.

This is the signature dish of this restaurant. The Xiao Lung Bao's skin was really thin that it will easi;y burst if you did not handle it with care. So, it is always important to use a spoon when you are taking the piece of the Xiao Lung Bao. The pork meat inside was filled some soup, the meat was tender and juicy.

Soon the famous Shanghai Steamed Meat Dumpling arrived on the table. They do have chicken if you prefer that. As for us, we would like to stick to the authentic eating which is with minced pork filling. Steaming hot from the kitchen, the little pau came nicely arranged in four, in a steamer basket. Caution be taken when eating it as inside the thin-layered pau, stores some juicy soup in it. It’s hot, so be careful. Normally it’s eaten with ginger slices dipped in vinegar. Yum!

Soon to join us is my all time favourite Salted Egg Yolk Custard Bun! Needless to say, it taste heavenly as it melted in your mouth slowly, tantalizing each of your taste buds.
The custard filling is so fragrant with the salted egg, and darn sinful. But am loving it!

To wrap up this ‘yam cha’ session, I opt for warm soya bean to clear the throat. I would say they do serve pretty good original soya bean, not like those commercialized one. It is not sweet and just taste original like those homemade. Slurps! ^^
