My dad and I decided to have dinner at Sunway Pyramid the other day and we couldn't make up our minds what to have for dinner. In the end I suggested we have dinner at Dragon I because I was craving for their xiao long bao (steamed soup dumplings ). Despite the long queue due to Chinese New Year, my dad and I got seated quickly because their turnover rate was really high. The place was spacious and they fully utilise every corner by putting small tables that will cater a place for 2 person.I ord

It is a Shanghainese Restaurant where it offers signature dishes such as xiao long bao (Shanghainese steamed meat dumplings) and la mian (hand-pulled noodles), traditional dishes proudly preserved by the Chinese over thousand of years. when you had been taking something heavy so frequent sometimes you want to have something plain. i do not know what to have for dinner today as there is too many choices so i just go back to the most basic.to know whether a chef is good in their cooking, you must try their fried rice,to have a good and delicious fried rice the rice must not be too soft or too wet.The dish that i have today, were just perfect, it is just a plain one which some meat and eggif i were to rate this i would give 8/10

Dragon I certainly turns into a cozy place when it is not during the peak hour. I had their signature Xiao Long Bao or also known as the Shanghai Meat Dumpling. The dumpling contains soup inside it rather than being immersed with it. One has to be very careful when handling the food as you wouldn't want the soup to ooze out before heading into your mouth. The environment in the place is like all Dragon I's I have encountered which is a "Commercialize" chinese restaurant. The Sauteed Chicken with Dried Chilies are well deep fried and can act as a good finger food but you will need a lot of water to quench your thirst after that. The seasoning used is a bit too salty for my liking though. And the dried chilies are rising in numbers as compared to the chickens in recent times.

Dragon-i restaurant in Sunway is rather quiet than the normal outlet that we used to go in other malls. When you feel like having a chinese cuisine in a shopping mall, one thing I think of is Dragon-i.Overall, my experience with dragon-i is good in taste but not the price. For me, Dragon-i is like an overprice chinese restaurant because i can easily get my siew yok rice in hawker with RM6 than RM16.8. Xiao Long Bao. The shanghai dumplings were being put on top of a piece of moist lettuce. We had to scoop the dumpling up carefully to prevent it from breaking apart and leaking out the "broth". The skin was thin but it wrapped the fillings nice. The soup was flavourful and filled with the essence, the fillings were moist and soft. Dipped with ginger vinegar, it tasted heavenly.
