Din Tai Fung is synonymous with xiao long baos (steamed pork dumplings).I had a fair share of the saboury dumplings and decided to also sample the sweet dumplings as well!As usual, the skin of the dumplings were delicate and succulent. Rest assured that Din Tai Fung uses really fine mashed red bean fillings imported from Taiwan!One is not enough for satisfy my cravings for desserts!I will definitely be back for more!

They are sure famous for a reason: the dumplings has super thin skin but doesn't break when you pick them up. With good amount of delicious broth and even more flavourful meat filling. Textbook perfect.

I also quite like the dumplings in chili oil. As you can see there were plenty of greens in the filling - chives, I believe. The chili oil is sufficiently spicy and tasty, delish! Pictured above is a refreshing starter: marinated cucumber. It's one of my favourite side dishes, with the refreshing crunch, distintive sesame oil aroma and tiny bit of heat.

Service is generally good here and pretty efficient, it's a comfortable place to dine in.

The noodle also looked boring without any colour or sauce. However, the tasty soup complimented the noodles pretty well. I also love the texture of the noodle. Not too mushy but not too hard as well. It was slightly coated with sesame and fried shallot oil, and salt with a light sprinkle of spring onion.

Also for desert is the Soy Dumpling for Rm 7.50. It was very much like mocha with black sesame filling that is super sweet. But then the soya complimented it well. Black sesame is slightly bitter and with the sugar’s sweetness, the soya all together made quite a good combination.

If you feel bad having so much meat, try bluffing yourself like I did with the Vegetable Pork with Soup instead. The soup was crystal clear and the vegetable inside the thin layer of wanton skin compliments the minced pork very well.

Since there are only the both of us, we didn’t order much. I had the Shrimp Fried Rice which is my all time favourite. Leave those fresh and large shrimps aside, the rice has got great aroma of wok, but not over heated. So it was really delicious and to my liking.
