There are few types of xiao long pao. The normal xiao long pao we eat is the one served with pork meat inside. The other one that I tried is this chicken xiao long pao. The presentation outlook of these two xiao long pao looked the same. If the waiter didn't tell me which is which. I cant really differentiate. This chicken xiao long pao actually is less taste than the pork. The soup base is similar, they are sweet. But then the meat is less tasty a bit but still not bad I would say.

Xiu Long Pau which is the specialists is definitely a heavenly made dine. The texture is good and the ingredients are nice. It is also very juicy as well and when you had it don bite them as the juicy xiu long pau will sprinkle the juice out. It is recommended to have them in the whole so you can feel the juicy taste beneath your thoungh. Xiu Long Bao is a must order item when you visit DTF or else your meal won’t be complete without it. Suddently want to eat Xiao long bao,so I went to Din Tai Fung with hubby.I used to visit the branch @gardens,this is my first time visit Pavilion one,and I think this branch is better than gardens one (environment,service,food)we ordered Crab Xiao long bao,hot & sour soup la mian,pork chop fried rice and jasmine green tea. for me,.the hot & sour soup is not 'hot' enough compare with the original Shanghai hot & sour soup that I used to drink in my child time(my ma is Shanghainese),if the spicy can be little bit stronger,it will be better.

P.S:Must appreciated they give one more empty pot for u when u order chinese tea,firstly I dont know why they give me an extra empty pot ,then the waiter told me it is because I can pour the tea into the empty pot instead of letting the tea keep soaking the tealeaf n became bitter.What a nice service,Thumb up

Talk about la mian expert in kl, din Tai fung is one of the remarkable restaurants. Their la kian here is very springy and it is very thick. Although it is thick, the noodle is very smooth too. The taste is very nice but I still prefer to add in their chili oil for some spicy taste.

I like to eat noodle with gravy. The main reason is the noodle stays with sauce and it won't give you very soupy feel. This Dan Dan mian has a thick gravy. The gravy taste a bit sourish. The noodles are handmade from the kitchen. You can see how they make the noodle at the entrance.

This pao has a lot of vege in it. The colour is a bit scary I would say. But let's not judge a pao by its colour. There are lots of meat in it actually. The pork meat mix with the vegetables give you totally different kind of taste. The vegetable smell is not that obvious. The meat is sweet and there are a lot of meat compare to the skin.

From what I was told, this place serves one of the best xiao long bao in town and I got the chance to try it myself sometime ago. Each serving has 5 xiao long bao and it is served piping hot. The texture of the skin is smooth yet strong enough to handle the pressure when held between a pair of chopsticks. It also retains the moisture and soup of the meat inside the dumpling. The soup in the dumpling is piping hot but not too scalding, just the way i like it.

A must try dish when you visit this place. Xiao Long Bao was served in hot. The skin was thin, just nice to chew. Put the whole xiao long bao into the mouth, one bite, the soup will flash out into our mouth. Second bite, you can taste the tender meat which taste really nice. Delicious! I like the thin, translucent skin that wont break off when you use the chopstick to pick it up. It will stick onto the chopstick nicely.

Pork Chop Fried Rice-RM15.50
The pork chop is marinated with the Chinese 5 spice powder which is quite strong. I do not like the taste as it smell kinda strong. The fried rice taste very normal, not quite up to my standard of a normal fried rice. It use egg, garlic and rice only. It do not have the fragrant of fried rice.
