My cousin and I dined at Daorae Express, Paradigm Mall at around 8.40pm this evening and my first experience with Daorae is deeply unpleasant! After ordering, it took so long for the food to arrive! The first dish to come out was the DDeokbokki, and i can say that this was the only thing i was pleased with Daorae about! (The good taste of the Ddeokbokki).Everything went downhill from there, the Dak Bokkeum Set (Stir-Fried Spicy Chicken) was only 'okay'. The chicken was dry and i didnt feel much spice in it at all. While i was eating my food, my cousin's food (Pork Bulgogi Set) took about more than half an hour to be served! People from different tables that arrived the same time as us, had already left and my cousin had only started eating her food! Please, This place is called Daorae EXPRESS.I was also surprised to find out that the side dishes were not refillable? (Alright, i can somehow understand this, as maybe Daorae does not offer the refilling of side dishes). But i just find this very odd for a Korean restaurant.Anyways, after all that unpleasantness, upon receiving our bill, the service charge was RM6.15! The staff service was BEYOND terrible! As our dining time was longer due to the delay in the serving of dishes, it was close to closing time (whereby they even chased customers away when it was only 9.20pm?). The staff were all rushing to clean up everything so that they could leave. Even at the counter, a staff was playing on facebook openly on his laptop and not even assisting in any clean ups or whatsoever!I have never expected this kind of dining service from Daorae and am surprised too that Daorae has no proper channel for customer feedback!I do not recommend this place all customers. Don't waste your time and money.  continue reading

오늘를 한식 식사관를와요 저는 한식을 너무너무 먹어십어 그래서 여기를 왔어!i'm not going to write the whole thing in Korean language. No. hahaha, cause i don't even know what I was writing. I was just trying to use my koyak Korean to write a few sentences which I don't think anyone could understand the koyak language But well,This is my 3rd time coming this place. I would say I'm someone who is highly picky when it comes to Korean food. Not to say highly picky, but I would not step in the same shop again if it doesn't meet the requirement of my ownself-set- bar during my first visitation. Sounds harsh, but yea. Till now, probably you would think I would give a high rate for this restaurant.Hmm. How do I put it in words.First visitation, I was sick and my friend did not let me try their spicy food-- the kimchi jjigae which i wanted to try so much  So instead of ordering kimchi jjigae, I went for Sundubu Jjigae * I didn't know it's spicy at first, cause usually I went to other restaurants, it's not spicy eh?* The set comes with a rice, 3 side dishes * oh wait was it 3 or four?* I can't really remember. But THIS IS WEIRD THAT THEY ALLOW US TO REFILL ALL SIDE DISHES EXCEPT KIMCHI?EH WHAT IS THIS?!normally we have free flow for kimchi right?I have no idea, but the first visitation they won my heart by having the salad( one of the side dishes) The salad is such a good combination with the citrus/ mangoes? I have no idea what was that but it taste superb awesome!BUT....sad to say so, during my 2nd and 3rd visit. the taste of the salad flopped badly it was like from Grade 1, it flopped to Grade 6:/They were so generous with the citrus.* indeed not that generous, just good enough for the salad* Now, they serve me salad which is so diluted witht the dressings. I think they should totally fix this problem :'( if during my fourth visit, it's still happening the same thing. I would doubt myself on making the fifth. So Dear Daorae Express, fix this please?Other than that, The food is far nice than what I was expecting. Being in Malaysia, I thought it was uncommon to have a non-halal Korean restaurant in the shopping mall. Sometimes, whenever I crave for the Korean BBQ, it's quite upset that we only have those Halal Korean restaurant that doesn't serve DwaejiGalbi (Marinated Pork BBQ)But this shop they do:')ALRIGHT HERE COMES ANOTHER LIMITATIONmy friend and I, just the two of us, we wanted to try something diff, but looking at the menu, to order the BBQ, we have to order two portions minimum:/ WHY ON EARTHmeans I would never able to order the BBQ if i come alone:/Why Oh Why. My friend and I ended up didn't order the BBQ, as we most probably couldn't finish them. *Usually my friend and I, two of us often share one portion BBQ, so two portions for us are way too much! *Due to this rule of theirs, till now, i didn't get to try their BBQ:/ *which sort of defeated my first cravings on entering the shop*Oh now after seeing this picture, i remembered, It was four dishes. This photo was taken during my second visit. I can't remember what I ordered, but my friend ordered SamGyeTang ( Ginseng Chicken Soup) continue reading

My mother always come here whenever she visits Paradigm Mall. Now I know why. The price is quite reasonable here. My friend ordered the seafood kimchi jjigae set for RM 17.90. It contains small pieces of prawns, octopus tentacles, tofu and also a lot of Korean glass noodles which are my favourite. The rice also looks very beautiful and fluffy. Each set came with 4 very small side dishes consisting of kimchi, green spinach, thinly sliced tofu pok and hard-boiled eggs that tasted near to Taiwanese style and also a salad. The salad is quite unique because it is dressed with orange juice. I always like Korean spinach because there is not a drop of oil and I always wonder how they cook it yet it looks fresh. On the other hand, I ordered the Doenjang jjigae set which consists of a special soup with a lot of spring onions, flower roots, tofu. The soup is quite smooth and clear and tasty, very refreshing. The hot Bori Cha which if Korean barley tea is quite refreshing and warm and cooling for the throat. The whole bill came up to RM 41.60. Quite ok.  continue reading

This is the original dolsot which is come along with three different side dishes. The Doldsot is the original one because it does not have any meat in it. Just vegetables such like mushroom, seaweed, vegetables and egg. This dolsot was served in a hot stone pot where the rice still remain hot when it was served. besides that the egg served were not well cooked as you are require to mix everything in the pot together. the heat of the pot will cook the egg. This dish were almost similar to our chinese fried rice when everything were mix together. the taste of it were plain as all of the ingredient were vegetables however if to be eaten with the side dishes the rice were full with the kimchi aromaif i were to rate this i would give 7/10 continue reading

continue reading
