the outer layer is the Bao skin (steamed dough), inside it contains “Lor Mai Kai” (the glutinous rice with chicken and mushroom), with the “Char Siow” (BBQ pork) and salted egg york. Hot served, the sticky rice was pleasantly soft and chewy. Seasoning of the Lor Mai Gai was so relish with hints of sweetness. Fluffy and pillowy steam bun with lots of yam filling. . smooth, silky texture and unmistakable aroma of yam, importantly it not sweet at all!!

Combination of loh mai kai (糯米鸡) and char siew pao (叉烧包). A very innovative invention. The pao is tender and fine. Char siew and glutinous rice are quite tasty. The bun contain is very rich, if you got eat Chicken Glutinous Rice, you will know what is that taste about it. The filing contained pork, chicken, onion and mushrooms in a thick gravy. Famous for their 'Gei Wo Bao'鸡窝包.Love their unique and edible appearance. The gravy was thick literally, but I don't mind ... ;PYou can see that they have glutinous rice in it too! and I guess that's what makes me feel so stuffing. Not bad I would say, cause their chicken wasn't very dry... ;) just nice. I don't think I enjoy this. Perhaps because this was serve cold...The fried yam wasn't crispy, and I suspect they added too much of flour, quite bland I would say.. The prawns weren't fresh.. Disa

I was told yesterday that there are two restaurants with the same name selling same thing, which is the chicken nest bun. The last I had this was 3 years back and I did not like it. Most likely we went to the replicated restaurant. I was told this was from the restaurant that first invented this chicken nest bun. Mom purposely steamed it in the morning after she bought from the shop the previous day. I ate it in the afternoon when it was cold but it tasted good nevertheless! The bun was soft, the glutinous rice tasted like loh mai kai, and best thing of all it had salted egg yolk!

I love the moistened fillings, especially when the salted egg yolk was half molten. The gravy resembled the thick braised soup, perhaps with some siew heng wine for cooking. Overall, I like this alot alot alot!

The Signature Chicken Nest Bun
For those who doesn't know about gei wo bao, it is actually loh mai gei wrapped inside plain white bun. The taste of gei wo bao was not expectedly good, and the ingredients loaded was quite stingy as well. Nonetheless, I like the slurppy thick gravy topping the loh mai gei, very nice and flavorful.

Clan is a very famous dim sum shop around Sri Petaling which opens from midnight till late afternoon. It has lots of crowd almost everyday, and I went there with my family at 8am just to secure ourselves a seat.Their steamed prawn dumpling is hot upon serving, and the skin is really soft and a little overcooked. The prawn in it is just chewy but not juicy, I believe it is not that fresh. Not the best "Har Gao" I have tried. It's little bland too.As for the fried foodstuff, I try the deep-fried s

As for the fried foodstuff, I try the deep-fried skin stuffed with prawn. The skin is quite crispy and not so oily, but then again the prawn is bland and not so prawn. It is still acceptable with a dip of mayonnaise to add more flavours.

Overall, their signature chicken glutinous rice is nice, but not their other dim sum.

This is the house specialty of Clan Dim Sum restaurant. Many newspapers and media have praised on it, so let's try on it!This signature dish named Gai Wo Bao comes in a pretty packaging for take-aways. It’s a combination of chicken steamed bun and glutinous rice. Recommended! The bun itself is fluffy, and when the sauce of the glutinous rice mixes with the bun, it turns out to be super yummy as you taste the smoothness of the chicken pieces!Other than that, their yam bun is one of my favourites

Other than that, their yam bun is one of my favourites too! It is small-sized, and the filling is 100% yam paste. A great choice for yam lover.

There are more bao there, such as Golden Sand Bao, Yellow Gold Bao, etc. Try them out!
