Not the best Italian outlet in this neighbourhood (not even the second-best, frankly), but Ciccio has its charms. Not sure why, but we keep coming back. The complimentary appetisers are a nice touch. Instead of the usual bread and olive oil, they provide sundried tomatoes, roasted garlic and olives. The first two are addictively scrumptious; the olives, not so much. Bruschetta topped with Tyrolean air-dried beef, rocket and gorgonzola. This sounds interesting, but it tastes bland and ordinary.
Tartufo (rum n crunch & pistachio gelati coated with almond & cocoa powder). A light and not-too-sweet finish to a decent dinner. Molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Skip this one; they get the texture and temperature right, but the flavour is all wrong (kinda tastes like Milo!).
