The number one Italian food craze founded and made famous in Shibuya, Tokyo since 1978 is here in Malaysia. Their selling point is the handmade. The secret of Capricciosa‘s popularity is in the hand-made special sauce created from imported Italian tomatoes. They specialize in pastas and pizzas and serves authentic Italian dishes in large portions. The Bruchetta is amazingly topped with rich fresh tomato chunks. Ripen just nice, the tangy sensation on the crunchy toast was indeed appetizing.Served on a plate with five pieces on it, it might look tiny but the slices are good enough for one slice each. The crunchy from the toast blends the soft ripen tomato cubes perfectly. The chunks of tomato would put a smile to any tomato lover. But for those who do not fancy the texture, they should avoid this.

Started with clam chowder, I was a bit disappointed with the pepper dose which was so generously added into the soup. I basically didn’t taste anything but the peppery spice that burns all the way from my tongue, down through the esophagus, to my stomach. Nevertheless, there wass a generous portion of clams in the soup. And not just any clams, but really fresh clams.So for those who don't mind the strong pepper, you would definitely enjoy the fresh ingredients in it

Part of the set lunch with complimentary soup of the day and drinks, I got the chicken cutlet. It took a while to serve but it's quite worth it. The chicken cutlet's batter was crispy and not too dry, leaving the juiciness of the chicken untouched. The potato cubes were also tasty and firm but not hard. The vegetables were fresh and lightly salted, completing the awesome meal. The portion is huge so in the end I couldn't finish the potatoes. Perhaps if there weren't any soup, I could have finish

The soup of the day was mushroom soup. I was used to have creamy base mushroom soup but this was kinda watery and too peppperish. I give it credit for adding some carrots and onions in the soup with sprinkled coriander but the taste is just not there. It's good in a way though, since it's watery, it serves as a light appetizer. And their main dish serving is quite big so I guess it's ok. It's also part of the set lunch deal.

Initially served in fettuccine, I opt for the spaghetti since I prefer it better. I was expecting the sauce to be light, sourish and appetizing. Instead, I got creamy tomato base, which wasn't such a bad idea. It's somewhat different and creative. The chunks of salmon were delicious, without the fishy smell. The portion is also big so it's quite a hearty meal for a lunch.

Their value lunch set is really affordable (considering very cheap).By just paying RM9.90++ ( RM11.50 after tax) you get a soup of the day+main dish of your choice+drink which is refillable.The environment is good since there's not much people making noise. I must say, some of the staff is nice and polite but some of them are not.Their pizza is charcoal grilled and at this price, it taste alright. Went for lunch and found out that they have lunch deal on a weekday. Mix mushroom spaghetti with soup of the day and soft drink for only RM13.90! Service is quite slow but food is served hot. I went with the fettucini instead of spaghetti. Although it's not fresh pasta, it taste quite soft. The cream is mouth watering and amount of mushroom is alot. Portion is also quite big. By the end of it, I was stuffed.

Frankly speaking, I quite like to enjoy eating their italian pasta over here. One of my always favourite is the cheesy carbonara. The cheesy carbonara here of course is very cheesy, but it won't gives you the kind of feel that is a bit too much. The flat creamy pasta is fully covered with the cheese. The cheese fragrance non stop flowing surrounding your mouth after you eat it.

Italian food is one of our favourite, especially pasta. On our first visit to Capricciosa, we had Chicken Chop and Cabonara Spaghetti as the main course, Mushroom Soup and Calamari Fritto as appetizer, and Homemade Tiramisu as dessert. The Chicken Chop kinda dry and isn't oily, there are some cheese sauce on top, but I would like to have it serves with more cheese sauce. Their Cabonara is creamy, and they added in a lot of bacon. There is no photo for this review because I went to this Restaurant with a friend of mine around last year (2012) Chinese new year.It is around 8.30pm, and I wondering around Sunway Pyramid to checkout for foods. Then it reminds me that there is ton of review from food blogger about Capricciosa and all of them got great rating of this restaurant, so I decide to check it out.Ice Lemon Tea, with no Lemon taste. It essentially means four cheese pizza, came with a thin pizza crust baked till perfect golden brown colour. I like thin crust as the toppings can be easily and fully enjoyed. I can see the small dollops cream cheese on top, which attracts me to have a slice immediately The pizza has a crunchy yet chewy texture, coupled with the fragrant and nicely melted cheeses. Truly a cheesy experience in a whole pizza.

I am glad to find another alternative place to fix my carbonara cravings. This came with broad freshly made pasta (very similar to hand torn pan mee) and mushrooms cooked in cream sauce. The pasta is nicely cooked till perfect al-dente texture, very nice to chew on. The cream sauce is perfect for me- creamy enough at the same time having fresh milk taste, also good for those who like your cream sauce to be less thick. The mushrooms gave extra pillowy texture, juicy and enjoyable.
