We also bought some Hokkaido Milk Loaf, as it looked pretty interesting, and was rather soft to the touch. It was for our breakfast the next day. It comes in a whole loaf, so we had it cut it into slices ourselves. The texture was very soft, very similar to chiffon cake. I didn't taste much of milk in it, but the sweetness was just nice. We definitely enjoyed it very much. Priced at RM7, it wasn't the cheapest, but well worth the amount paid. continue reading

I was wondering around Paradigm Mall the other day, looking for some buns for breakfast the next morning. I decided to go by Cake Sense to see if they have anything interesting. The parmesan sausage bun looked rather appealing, so I bought one. The bun had bits of browned parmesan cheese on top, and this gives it a slighty salty flavour. The bun is also quite soft, and the sausage quite tasty. Quite recommended! continue reading

Being a popular dessert, I cannot afford to miss this cute yet delicious Japanese cupcake. Cake sense is another alternative place to fix your Hokkaido cake cravings. This has incredibly fluffy and airy sponge texture. Despite of the fact, I find this more towards the chiffon cake type of sponge hence not as authentic as RT's version. Inside was filled with fresh cream, light and not too sweet. Perfect for breakfast, tea or even supper There is a small dining area with about 2 tables and few chairs for customers to enjoy their purchase as well. continue reading

Preparing for work the next day, I went to get some breafast at Cake Sense, where I know that the pastries are fresh and tastier than most bakeries. I went and picked a sausage bun and a polo bun. The sausage bun has a strong 'roasted' smell and when eaten, I like how those charred ares add a little salty taste on the bun. The polo bun on the other hand is crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. The inside is hollow and filled with margarine to add taste to the bun. Overall, a very satisfying breakfast, now if there's just a good cup of coffee. continue reading
