The burger patty is flavourful and properly seasoned. It's juicy and is also one of the few places that cook their patty medium/well. That's normally how I like my patty done although I'm normally wary of hygiene issues. That said, I feel quite comfortable with Burger Junkyard.

The bun is supposedly a brioche, not as rich as I would have expected but that's fine. A unique point about their burgers is their steamed cheese, the cheese is properly melted (compulsory in any decent burger!) but otherwise no different from normally melted cheese.

My favourite is their BBQ burger. I've been to several burger places that mostly get the individual components right but this burger stands out for me because it's one of the few in which the the taste is greater than the sum of it's parts. Have only tried a few things on their menu but I look to rectify that.

Their fries are average but I do like that they come with some sort of brown gravy which tastes a bit like the kind Ikea serves with their meatballs.

Price is good for what you get. One of the cheaper dedicated burger places and one of the best too.

So, I was still hungry after trying out a burger somewhere else, and decided to come to this "new" burger place in KD to give it a try. This one's called the Balsamic Beefin' Onions. Obviously, that's balsamic vinegar dressing, on beef and onions.The sauce was strong and sweet, but perhaps a bit too overpowering, such that I couldn't taste the beef. Overall, a very passable burger, but no praises shall be sung. At least there's no ridiculously long queues here.

Brooklyn Chicken. My another friend could not take beef, so he ordered the Brooklyn Burger (chicken). It was a very "high" and big burger as it consisted of many ingredients: smoked turkey ham, grilled pineapple, tomato, raw onions, fried egg with house aioli sauce. The chicken patty was tender and not rough at all. The smoked turkey ham was slightly salty. This burger was very tasty.

Texas Hold' Me beef burger. This Texas Hold me consisted of fried tempura onion rings, beef bacon strips and homemade BBQ aioli. The star ingredient of this dish was the fried tempura onion rings for me. I am an onion rings lover and Burger Junkyard's version was a big piece and was not oily. The beef patty was juicy. With the BBQ aoili sauce, it has a strong taste of garlic and olive oil.

Buffalo Soldier. Since my dining partner could not take beef, he ordered the Buffalo Soldier (chicken). It was made of grilled chicken thigh, buffalo hot sauce, celery sticks, tomato and scallion root sour cream. The patty was chicken thigh and the meat was very tender as compared to some burgers that use chicken breast. The buffalo hot sauce was sweet with some saltiness in it. We love this burger too!

Balsamic Beefing Onion. This is a burger that I have not seen being offered in any other restaurants. It is known as Balsamic beefing onion. It consisted of steamed cheddar, caramelized onions, tomatoes, pickled beetroot and garden greens. As the name indicated, it was filled with balsamic raisin sauce. The balsamic sauce gave an aromatic smell and slightly sourish. The beetroot was sweet too.

Beef In Blankets. The beef in blankets was the special burger of Saturday. It was made up of char-grilled beef patty, beef bacon, steamed cheddar, raw onions and tomato slices. The burger was simmered with smoked BBQ glaze. Once I took the first bite, I fell in love with the smoked BBQ glaze, it was very aromatic. The beef patty was thick and juicy. Can you imagine the drool in my mouth when I saw these thick, fat chips waiting to be devoured? These chips came with one of their special sauce which I deemed as evil. Although the amount was not alot, the mass is quite heavy. It's one of the best chips that I have ever tasted, with the right amount of salt and pepper, not to mention the evil yet delicious dip! It's part of the set meal with a burger and a glass of mango juice.

It was one additive burger. It came with thick, fat chips and a glass of mango juice. The burger wasn't too big but packed with juicy, meaty ingredients like fresh vege, yummy burger patty and juicy, sweet pineapples. The bacon and pattie was juicy and is not dry. Even the bun tasted awesome. And what I like most is, it wasn't greasy. Only the bun seems so but overall, it's a very juicy burger that I don't mind coming back again, and again, and again....

But you must, again, I emphasize, MUST, dip it in yet one of their SPECIAL sauce which taste like a marriage between salsa and ketchup. It's sweet, sour and sightly spicy. The fried mushrooms didn't look too greasy and slimy and each mouthful is like an explosion in the mouth. Perhaps I was too hungry to think correctly anymore...

Do not underestimate Burger Junkyard's sides. This one in particular is a star. These half-cut cocktail sausages were grilled with their special marinated sauce which make them so ownable. The sauce was savoury and slightly pepperish which made the sausages juicy and delectable. I also like how the sausages were grilled till they were slightly charred so that it has more of a bbq taste to it.

This was really a surprise to us. I mean, who would've thought that a burger shop would serve some Fine-dining dessert? The wobbly-jelly-like thing was really soft and creamy. It tasted a bit like frozen yoghurt with full cream milk. The lingonberry gave a very citrus-like sweetness to balance the heavy, milky, feel of the Panna Cotta. A stream of chocolate compliments the heavy vanilla and also to increase its aesthetic value.

Chocolate Brownie with vanilla ice-cream and caramel sauce. The chocolate brownie was really soft and warm. It was able to absorb the flavours of the melting ice-cream and caramel. Overall, the brownie was really really good. However, I do find it pointless to scribble caramel around the plate. It may be for aesthetic purposes, but I personally believe that there is another way to play about.

The fries, comes with 2 types of sauce. One of it is their signature brown sauce, the other was a tomato concasse. The brown sauce taste kinda mushroomie whilst the tomato concasse taste like really fresh made bolognese sauce. Personally, I prefer the tomato concasse more due to the acidity that goes really well with the fries. The flavour of the concasse really was good.

This was the last burger served and by far the one with the strongest flavour. Blue Paranormia. Its beef topped with BLUE CHEESE. I had to share with another blogger, so I had a quarter of it. Even if it was a quarter, even if the blue cheese was really minimal, the flavours engulfed my mouth. Really really awesome. I may not like blue cheese, but to incorporate it into a burger, it really packs a punch. A little goes a long way huh....
