Their must-try is Bulgogi Brothers Special (MYR 81.90) which is the combination of Unyang (beef patties) and Gwangyang (thinly sliced beef) that has been marinated and seasoned before served, another must try is Beef Bibimbap (MYR 29.90).

The beef slices were so tasty and juicy, especially when wrapped together in fresh lettuce. Imagine the crunchy fresh lettuce with juicy beef inside plus, a secret explosion of special sauce, so yummy. Their Beef Bibimbap is really something too! Rice topped with beef bulgogi, raw egg yolk and vegies then mixed all at once with special sauce. Eat it while it's still hot, it's beyond delicious.

A little bit pricey but it's worth the price. The portion of their food is quite big and enough for two persons. The staffs were so friendly and helpful too! They were so kind and patient no matter how many questions I've popped out, LOL. They also help in mixing and grilling for the best taste of the beef.

Our first dish off Bulgogi Brothers' new menu selection was the Sauteed Beef Wraps, or Sogogi Milssam in Korean. It looks colourful enough, enticing and encouraging me to make my own wrap. The dish consisted of naturally-coloured wheat flour pancake wraps to be filled with deliciously seasoned sauteed beef slices and crunchy julienned potato. I really like the taste of the sauteed beef here, as it was really savoury, bringing out the sweetness of the meat.

Up next were the poultry dishes, coming in the form of the Crispy Tofu with Chicken and the
Crispy Chicken with Leeks Salad. I found it interesting that both these dishes were a combination of chicken and healthy alternatives such as tofu and salad, a healthy dish indeed. The Crispy Tofu with Chicken was essentially fried tofu squares with beautifully marinated diced chicken in teriyaki sauce. Served with bean sprouts, the teriyaki sauce really sweetened the dish, just the way I like. The Crispy Chicken with Leeks Salad features a platter of crispy chicken cubes with piquant chilli sauce atop fresh leeks in sweet fruit dressing.

Selling at RM 52.90, you can add on optional ingredients like rice cakes or glass noodle at some extra charges. Rice cake add on costs RM 3.50.The electrical stove made dining real clean and comfortable without the heat from conventional stove with fire.

The Kimchi Jiggae is not served with pork as this is a halal place. Instead, they replace pork with beef. After all, the name of the restaurant tells it all. So expect lots of beef in the menu.

Another ala carte meal would be the noodle choices. There are a few noodle dishes in the menu. Something that is simpler for a meal for one. The “party noodles” would be a good choice if looking for simple meal. Served in seafood broth and garnished with lots of vegetables at RM 17.90

The restaurant offers a rather enjoyable dining atmosphere with dim yellow lights and polite staffs. Fully air conditioned indoor for non-smokers and a cooling outdoor space for smokers or anyone preferring some natural breeze.

Right in the middle is an egg yolk, presumably put on top just before serving. The stone pot is extremely hot, and I had to take extreme caution while mixing all the ingredients together with the chilli sauce. The well mixed bowl is very appetising. A bit sticky because of the egg yolk, but extremely well-flavoured and went well with our meat.

As usual, with any Korean meals, a myriad of side dishes will accompany the main dish. In Bulgogi Brothers, there were quite a number of side dishes being presented. The third dish was stewed kangkung. Slightly salty, and marinated in soy sauce, it was quite an interesting flavour, probably due to the fact that I usually have kangkung with sambal belacan, no other way.

The other three side dishes came in an oblong dish. The items included sweet lotus root, a scoop of pumpkin paste and stir fried spinach with wolfberry. The sweet lotus root definitely needs some getting used to, as it was really sweet. Not caramelised, but cooked in a very sweet, indistinguishable sauce. The pumpkin paste is quite nice, smooth and creamy while the spinach was nothing special. Overall quite a good combination of side dishes.

The last thing to arrive was corn soup. Although I highly doubt that this is a side dish, it was most welcomed, as we were rather hungry. The theme of the dinner seems to be very corn-filled. There were steamed corn on cob, corn tea and now corn soup. Sweet and creamy, it was quite delectable. I think I have made my stomach quite confused by now.

The tea of the day in Bulgogi Brothers is the Oksusu Cha, or the corn tea. I have never tasted this before, and was looking forward to it. They put the whole thermos on our table, indicating that it is free flow. Pouring it in a cup, I waited until it was cooler before taking a sip, as it was pretty hot. The tea had a very aromatic corn smell to it. It tasted like any other ordinary tea, just with lots of corn smell. Quite interesting, although I think it is an acquired taste.

When we first sat down in Bulgogi Brothers, even before ordering anything, a bowl of corn on cob and edemame was served. So wifey and I munched them while trying to decided on what to order. The corn on cob and edamame was steamed nicely, though the edemame was slightly oversteamed, hence the skin pretty much fell apart when we tried to press the seeds out. They didn't put salt in it, hence the corn and bean taste was quite au naturel. A good starter indeed.

It doesn't help that it was a Monday, a day which usually wifey and I would usually stay back late at work due to work that piled up over the weekend. I had to quickly plan something, else wifey would be very cross with me. I decided to bring her to Paradigm Mall for dinner, and I was advised by a colleague to go to Bulgogi Brothers. So we went hunting for the restaurant, which turned out to be nearby The Loaf. There weren't that many patrons on a Monday evening. Once we walked into the restaurant, the smell of beef being cooked assaulted us. Slightly gamey, it was definitely very aromatic. There were adequate seatings, about 80 seats in the restaurant, with another 30 seats for al fresco dining. On every table, a piece of paper in lieu of placemats introduced us to the main offering, the bulgogi. Literally translated as fire meat, it is basically seasoned meat prepared and grilled by the tableside. We ordered the Bulgogi Brothers Special, 400gm for 2 persons.

It was a combination of both Unyang and Gwangyang style Bulgogi. The Unyang bulgogi is made from minced beef marinated with the distinctive unyang soya sauce and fruit juice, creatively hand-pressed into heart shapes, while the Gwangyang bulgogi is thinly sliced lean beef seasoned in their special soy sauce and fruit juice, retaining the beef's delicate taste. The set included some cut onions, sliced carrots, two pieces of button mushrooms and some garlic. The waitress used beef fat to oil the grilling pan, creating a strong beefy aromatic smell.

I was rather miffed that the smoke kept coming towards me, but that can't be helped. I'd probably go home later smelling like a side of cooked beef.

While the unyang meat was merrily sizzling, another waitress brought a threesome sauce as well as a basket of salad leaves with cucumber slices. I guess we were supposed to take the bulgogi meat, dip it in the sauces and wrap it in salad leaves before consuming it in a mouthful.

The meat is nearly done. It looks really juicy. Once it is done, we dipped and wrapped and popped it into our mouth. The burst of taste was extremely delectable. Full of beefy goodness, the meat also had a slight fruity taste to it. Juicy and decadent, it was slightly salty, but goes very well with the salad leaves.

Next comes the grilling of gwangyang meat. The slices of meat was pre-mixed with julienned leeks and onions, which gave it a good aroma when it is being grilled.

Grilled until dark brown, it was less juicy compared to the unyang meat, but still quite delicious. It was recommended that we accompany the meat with makguli, a Korean traditional rice wine with the added goodness of sweet milky rice wine, but seeing that it was a weekday night, we regretfully declined the alcohol. It was a good eating session with wifey, and the heart shaped unyang definitely made our anniversary dinner just a little bit more special.

The sides were rather disappointed and I didn’t quite feel any bit Korean about it. The vital distinguishable feature in the Korean cuisine is the unlimited array of sides. Here, think kitty cat or tweety bird amount.

At least the Kimchi tasted alright but the serving was ridiculously small. This amount for one person maybe, but there were four of us so whoever served us were busy refilling the Kimchi.

This place offers free Wifi, and Malaysians would feel comfortable talking to the staffs because there were mostly local staffs so you probably don’t have to feel any bit uneasy trying to get your message deliver across.
