When it comes to Thai desserts , I definitely count Red Rubies in Coconut Milk as one of my favorites . To sweeten up the deal, Bangkok Beat's version actually comes with Coconut Ice Cream too Super, duper yummy! The "rubies" are actually more like sago, the coconut ice-cream is very light and refreshing and not too creamy.. and the coconut milk wasn't too rich.. just nice and light. Super loved it!

Bangkok Beat's Thai Olive Fried Rice is really good.. seriously. Super loved it! You know, it's very rare to use Olives in Asian cooking.. and especially in cooking fried rice. It can either taste really good or turn out pretty bad. I'm happy to report it's thumbs up for Bangkok Beat's version! The rice wasn't too oily, and comes with slices of onion and cucumber; fried chicken and cashew nuts at the side

Another of my all-time favorite Thai dishes is the very simple yet delicious Fried Kangkong Leaves with Sambal. And Bangkok Beats stir-fried it perfectly ! Thai-style. The sambal used is more like Thai sambal rather than Malaysian sambal.. whuich means it's slightly sweeter.. but of course the "oomph" is definitely there. The kangkong leaves are fresh too. Tasted super delicious when taken with white rice

I super loved this.. instead of just using instant Tom Yam packets; they actually prepared the Tom Yam broth from scratch Super heads off to the kitchen staff on this! What's more, it tasted exactly like how I tasted em' in Thailand. Super spicy and sour with lots of tamarind in em'. Love, love, loved it! The noodles too were smooth and the seafood complements everything perfectly

I have to say that Bangkok Beats Bistro is probably one of my most favorite Thai food establishments in Klang Valley Not only are they super affordable (as compared to some high-end Thai restaurants); they served up really good authentic Thai dishes too. I chatted with their supervisors and found out their chefs are specially brought in from Thailand itself, and not locals trained to do the cooking. Super yums My favorite ? Definitely the Thai Tom Yam, Chicken Basil and desserts

Time for our once-every-three-months trip to a furnace of fiery Thai fare. Launched this month at Subang's Empire Shopping Gallery, Bangkok Beat Bistro is the sister outlet of the Bangkok Jam restaurants in Singapore, Taipei & Taichung. Mee krob (RM16+). These crispy fried noodles represent the reality of Bangkok Street Bistro; purists will insist they've tasted better in the City of Angels, & they'd be right. But nevertheless, what's served here is food that's still enjoyable, that's still worth sharing, still worth paying for.

For RM20+, this Massaman lamb shank curry is a bargain, featuring genuinely tender meat in generously poured gravy. The more well-known Massaman beef version is also available.

Surprise! We hardly broke a sweat throughout this meal. Hurrah for the judicious use of spices!

Time for our once-every-three-months trip to a furnace of fiery Thai fare. Sink-your-teeth-into-it crab meat & chew-like-a-carnivore fish maw, sunk in savory-starchy soup (RM15.90+). Soft-shell crab with yellow curry (RM20+). Note: even on a weeknight, Bangkok Beat Bistro can be packed. So expect to line up awhile or come back later; when we hit this place at 9pm, the crowd had eased & most of our dishes landed within 15 minutes of ordering.

Grilled stingray with Thai sambal (RM25+). Might pair well with sparkling wine, but since Bangkok Beat Bistro is shooting for halal certification, it's best not to bring in booze.

Screaming for more sweets, we walked over to Bangkok Beat Bistro for dessert. Red ruby "thap thim krop" with coconut ice cream, appetizingly cold. Banana tempura with hot caramel sauce, alluringly hot, fresh and crunchy. Fresh coconut juice & blended coconut smoothie, absolutely refreshing.A good point to note however is that Bangkok Beat Bistro does not serve any booze.
