As it turns out, all this place needed was some nip and tuck to look beautiful. Recently refurbished, The Pub at Shangri-La has been renamed "Arthur's" and rebranded as a Manhattan-style bar and grill. Live music is performed each night, but it's not the typical hotel lounge band. This one captivated us with evocative, jazzy renditions of "My Funny Valentine" and "You've Got A Friend." We stopped by here after having dinner elsewhere and were too stuffed by then to really sample Arthur's menu of salads and grilled steaks, lamb, fish and prawns. Nothing that sounded terribly thrilling, but it might still be worth checking out in the future.

Arthur's: Round Two. When a restaurant's complimentary bread is exceptional, it makes us sit back and relax, assured of a satisfying meal ahead. Grilled cod fish with creamy spinach & sauteed asparagus. As tender and tasty as cod can be; this "safe" dish won't disappoint, but won't linger in the memory either. Still, a healthy recipe, impeccably prepared.

Arthur’s Bar & Grill is the ideal place for any social gathering for private and corporate and in particular, the best spot is The Oval Room. With a high ceiling glass which gives the best view to see the hustle and bustle of the city during day while night view will be the city lights, the eye view of the junction between Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan P.Ramlee.

The waiter was very polite, friendly and professional.

I was there by invitation, it was lunch time, the place was rather quiet as I was the first diner stepped in when they just opened for business. My starter of the day was wild mushroom soup. I was served with Bun and Butter along with the soup. Buns were soft and fresh, love it
while the soup was very well done and fresh. Portion of the soup can be shared by 2. The waiter has also offered me a few selection of dipping to go along with the buns.

Will certainly return for more!
