Thai food is all spicy here as usual and in samira is good to dine in because they have nice environment . it was no air-conditioner.but inside have air conditioning. It was so dark with only candle light on each of the tables. and good to try to order Tom Yam Goong at a Thai restaurant. nice taste and i order this side dish of the popiah roll. full of filling of the fresh vegetables inside continue reading

If you are looking for a restaurant that surrounded by nature, Samira by Asian Terrace will be your best choice! Located inside KLPAC in Sentul, you will be greeted by the wonder of green nature and some Koi fish lake. It's surrounding is perfect for family outing away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We started off with Samira Thai’s Fish Cake at RM16.00 for five pieces of fish cakes. It comes with Thai sweet and spicy sauce which goes really well with the fish cakes. The fish cakes were very flavourful and juicy. I love the way the chef demonstrate his/ her skill in crafting the flower out of a carrot. It is really beautiful and delicate. continue reading

A well-kept secret for now, this Thai restaurant with a verdant lake view has the potential to become a hot spot for everything from a romantic rendezvous to birthday bashes. Samira takes over from Yuritei, the Japanese tea house near the KL Performing Arts Center. The venue has been entirely refurbished, resulting in an enchanting setting. Dry tom yum chicken (RM22+). The meat without the soup, but with the sour spiciness intact. Northeastern Thai street food: Grilled beef with Isaan chili sauce (RM30+). Good enough to munch on mindlessly while contemplating life, love & other mysteries. Omelet rolls with mixed veggies & seafood (RM16+). Note that though Samira's prices seem low, the portions are constructed for only two or three people. Who knew that veggies could steal the show here? These are the perfect "paku pakis" _ the freshest of fern leaves (RM16+), simultaneously crunchy but soft, stir-fried with shrimp paste.Housekeeping notes: Samira is the sister outlet of Asian Terrace @ Solaris Mont Kiara.Remember how we said recently that we only resort to Thai food once every three months? If more places like Samira pop up, then maybe once a month might be a better estimate. continue reading

Pineapple Fried Rice RM 18++Too ordinary I would say, but overall acceptable and nothing to shout about. Traditional Thai Tom Kha with Chicken RM 16++The White Tom Yam soup has a distinct coconut aroma, but a silkier mouth-feel... not only delicious but pleasurable. I think I whacked two bowls of rice because of this soup! Phad Thai Noodle with Prawn and Egg RM 16++Taste like Char Kway Tiao, minus the 'wok hei', but doesn't mean it's not tasty, don't be bias. It's good, the soy sauce, egg fragrance, lots of tauge(bean sprout)to add an extra crunchiness to the dish...yumz yumz!Crispy Catfish with Mango Salad RM 20++Thinly shredded catfish deep fried until remarkably crispy and crunchy, served together with the sourish mango salad.Although I love the extremely crunchy texture, but I stil think that no catfish or any fish flavor can be detected. ;(Pineapple Lamb in Coconut Sauce RM 30++The lamb was unbelievably tasty, and the gravy was intensely rich and milky, with a very potent coconut milk flavor in it. Despite the cholesterol , every simple goodness of the coconut milk is well appreciated. Pan Fried Banana with Ice Cream RM 12++Mushy-sweet warm banana paired with creamy-smooth banana = heavenly!Fresh Mango with Sticky Rice RM 18++The striking orangy mango juxtaposed with the pale yet taste amazing sticky rice, then smother with the creamy white coconut sauce - PURE HEAVEN!It is indeed very simple but exotic Thai dessert !If you're a Thai food lover, this is a place not to be missed, I solemnly believe that you will love Samira, their food, their setting, the tables and chairs, and even the koi fish pond outside of the restaurant!Do check out this place ! continue reading
