continue reading

A couple of friends introduced me to this restaurant earlier in the year. Unashamedly, I've been a regular returning customer, not so much for the food, but for the special beer it serves.I am no beer-guzzling enthusiast but this is amazing stuff, not just taste-wise. It goes down to the hours of preparation that makes the pour phenomenal. I elaborate. A faint crackling sound can be heard as the waitress pours the beer into the cold glass. Beer foam rises in the form of frosted ice. It is this bubbles of frost that gives the beer an oomph that excites the palate. How cool is that.Oh, enough about the beer. Adding on to the experience is food that compliments. They serve a variety of Chinese fare, some very pleasing visually and on the nose but we chose something lighter and none too overwhelming, great for winding down after the long day we had. Snow beer costs than normal beer. This is expected considering the time spent on prepping it to create the effect. Food is reasonably priced, suiting the kopitiam-like ambience. All in all, I cannot think of any other place I would recommend for a casual gathering of catch-up with friends. continue reading
