I usually have the basic banana leaf set lunch whenever I frequent Kanna Curry House. And this time, I went for the curry fish to accompany the white rice and the the vegetables which are fundamental for a banana leaf rice meal.I would normally douse my rice with the curry and dhal sauce. Both the sauces were good, so I decided to have both over my rice. The curry fish was not too spicy and was well-seasoned with the right amount of spices. Combine them altogether, they were simply delicious and finger-licking good. i just had to have a coconut water to complete my indian meal here. continue reading

I did not know many halal places near my office. My other Chinese colleague suggested to eat Indian Nasi Kandar near Jalan 222 then suddenly I thought of going to Kanna Curry House. The Banana Leaf Rice here is the cheapest and be kept till night and  I am very happy about this because all the vegetables were so delicious and to my liking : Being stir-fried yellowish style radish; followed by thick curry with ladies fingers and also brinjals and also diced cucumbers but not sweetened. My all-time favourite is the ladies finger yellow style curry. The fish curry is also tasty. The Fried Papadum is so crispy and thinly fried and so tasty to the core. My coconut juice was RM 4.50.  continue reading

This place is very near my home. Its extremely popular with the lunch crowd especially for their banana leaf and freshly fried stuff. Have to admit the food is good and I recommend their fried chicken, chicken or mutton masala, banana leaf, roti canai, poori and even the fried noodles. Price wise its on the upper end of indian cuisine but for the quality I guess its justified. However the service is crap. You'll be annoyed trying to get the attention of the waiters and then for the food to actually show up. Sadly we also notice they service certain people better than others. Am sure you can get my drift by this remark. Due to this we rarely go here unless need to due to convenience. Service is 50% of a restaurant experience and this place fails misearably! continue reading

Even the roti Kosong is super nice, crispy and tasting great. The roti planta is also nice. The secret to eat good roti is to request for crispy one.  continue reading
