Went hiking at Bukit Gasing for 2 consecutive days during the weekends and so after a good workout, my parents and I decided to go to Taman Paramount to have lunch. Initially we wanted to have pan mee at Seapark but it was closed due to Ching Ming so we went to eat fish head noodles at Restaurant Kaki Bola Dua instead!I had the XO fried fish head noodles where the noodles and the fried fish head were separated in two different bowls so that the fried fish head won’t become soggy if placed in the soup. It was RM9 for small and RM11.80 for large. I had the small one because the small one was already very large to me! There were lots of vegetables and the broth tasted quite good, but I think I tasted better fish head noodles. My parents ordered the XO fresh fish head noodles where the fish were not fried. They said it tasted quite good and the portion was huge. We had quite a decent meal and might come here again! continue reading

For me, the best fish head bihun soup can be found here. The best part is that they have fresh fish inside the soup instead of merely deep fried fish like the conventional ones.I had the XO soup fish head noodles with rough noodles. The soup is clear and not oily. The price is quite reasonable at RM 9 only.My friend had wantan mee for RM 6.50. The noodles are just normal but I preferred the wantan.Details:Address: Kaki Bola fish head noodleNo. 23, Jalan 20/14,Paramount Garden,46100 Petaling Jaya,SelangorGPS:3.107316, 101.625090Hours: daily 7.30am – 4pm, 6pm – 9pm continue reading

The famous Kaki Bola XO Fried Fish Head Noodle from Taman Segar, Cheras. But this shop is their new branch at Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya. The shop is well located at the Taman Paramount and it is at the same row of the famous O&S coffee shop. This round, I am there with my collegue for lunch. As so, I did not bring my giant camera with me. I supposed the owner is a big fans of footballs where there are lots of poster of the footballs player there. It is said to be another outlet of Restaurant Kaki Bola in Taman Segar, Cheras is one of the famous fish head noodle restaurant packed with customers ever since featured in 8TV’s Ho Chak! show. The main selling point of this fish head noodle is the usage of XO (Extra Old Cognac brandy) in either their fish or soup and you can choose whichever you prefer upon ordering. XO fish paste noodle is always my favorite due to my laziness to have to seperate out the fish bones if I had to order the fish head noodles. The fish paste is delicious with a slight of XO taste in it and you may choose the soup base whether you want it with milk or without milk. The soup was flavorful, tangy sweet and emitting milky fragrance with a hint of rice wine in it. Aside, it is served together with the tomato slices, preserved vegetables, rice vermicelli.Taste: 3/5Price: RM 6.80 continue reading

他们这里的东炎鱼片米粉 也是非常的棒。汤头煮得非常入味。外表看起来红红的,可是辣味也适,是大家都可以接受的口味。而且他们鱼肉是用澳州的鱼片作材料的。一碗的价钱RM7.80。 continue reading

I also happen to be a big fan of eating fish (seems like the question should be: what am I not a fan of)And the BEST Fish Head Noodles I've ever head is at Kaki Bola XO Fish Head Noodles, Taman Paramount. Since my first time eating at this place, I've never stopped craving for it and by this I mean I have this constant urge/desire/pms-pregnant-woman-like-craving/non-stop-on-my-mind feeling to eat it at this place ALL THE TIME. And I can assure you, I'm not the only one ;)So what is it that makes this Fish Head Noodles so absolutely crave-alicious?The Noodles - because of its springy texture, not over cooked. just the right size. Rated: 10/10The Fried Fish, The Soup and The Chilli are all secondary but most importantly, complimentary to the awesome noodles.(It may not be prominent but it is significant)And because everything goes so well together, this dish is rated 10/10.If your going there for your first time, here's some helpful tips to help you with your order: 1. Fried fish or fresh? (Recommendation: fried)2. Skinny noodles or fat? (Recommendation: fat noodles*ahem, no connotations or metaphor of any sort is implied here*)3. Would you like the soup with milk or without? (Recommendation: With milk)4. Choose whether you want extra XO or not (I recommend a yes ) continue reading
