The Baby Octopus Takoyaki is the most common tako balls at any Takoyaki stand. Things are not any different right here at this Tako stand. Skillfully turning the balls to make sure they are thoroughly cooked all round up the spherical bite while ensuring they don’t burnt. I would like to try mastering the skill if given the opportunity. One really need to practice quite a bit to skillfully do this. The outer layer is thinly crispy but on the inside is soft and flavourful. The mayo and bonito flakes obviously is the crucial ingredient to these lovely bites. continue reading

Asia Café is one of the Klang Valley’s premier food court which located at Subang Jaya’s most densed commercial centre, SS15. It offers an arrays of food and beverages from all over the globe that includes Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Western, and Middle Eastern Cuisines. It is indeed the most well known locations in Subang Jaya for people to meet and watch football, where the matches are displayed over 2 projectors and many elevated plasma television. There are plenty of seats to accommodate large group. You also can choose to sit outside the food court under a big tree. But beware of the parking, usually it is hard to get a parking nearby this food court. There is an open space car park beside the food court, but normally is full. I have ordered Sarawak Noodle. It comes with pork balls, minced pork, char siew and fu zuk. The noodle is stringy but overall the taste is just normal. continue reading

what i ordered from the Korean Food stall in Asia Cafe, is apparently stir-fried pork with a few mixed vege and served with normal steamed rice. there was a name for this dish but i couldn't recall it :X i ordered this because it was recommended by the waiter there. the portion that served me was definitely large. the fact that i was starving that night meant that having a big plate of rice was good enough for me. despite so, i was a little dissapointed with the taste. the pork meat was not dry, but kind of wet and filled with moisture.. i don't know if its because of the oil they used to fry it with, but the pork meat wasn't that satisfying in the end :/ continue reading

That night, I had a date with my girlfriends at Asia Cafe, a premier food court offering an array of food and beverages from all over the globe, including Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and the others. As usual, since I don’t usually come to this place due to its environment, I ordered Lemongrass Grilled Chicken with Rice from Vietnamese Cuisine. It was recommended by one of my friends.I was disappointed when the food was served. The drumstick had shrunk compared to my previous experiences with the same stall. Taste wise, it was just okay. The smell and taste of lemongrass was nowhere to be found. I would say that I was basically eating Grilled Chicken with Rice, instead of Lemongrass Grilled Chicken with Rice.Meh! I should start to consider giving the other food stalls a try. continue reading

I made hubby go all the way to Asia Cafe in Subang Jaya to tapau some takoyaki for me, since he was passing by the area. He brought back two sets for me. The takoyaki was still warm, though not as piping hot when having it there. The outer layer was done to golden brown, while the inside is soft and creamy. Quite comparable to Tako Tao in One Utama. Topped with fish flakes, mayonnaise and their special brown sauce, the combination is delicious! continue reading
