Established in Johor, they have so many products that you can try ranging from Wife cake, the famous Hokkaido Cream Puff, traditional pastry and of course Mooncakes! You have tried many types of mooncake in Mid-Autumn festival but have you tried mooncake that has Sambal in it? Perhaps it sounds weird, but they have surely mastered this Nyonya recipe! With white lotus paste, sambal paste and blended in with variety of secret ingredients, this mooncake tastes absolutely scrumptious and indeed special in the market!

2. Long-shaped Mooncake @ Yu Kong Restaurant

Famous in Kluang, Johor – the pastry tastes crumbly good! Available in 3 flavors of Pandan, White Lotus and Red Bean paste, it comes with a salted egg yolk inside too!

Fragrant of the tea and it is not overly sweet; the fillings too fine and smooth. Besides, they have a cute fish packaging that comes with a Goldfish biscuit in it. 4. Setapak Teochew Restaurant

More than a century old restaurant here in KL, they are very famous for the signature Hokkien mee, Claypot Sang Har noodles and more. Apart from these, they too sell pastries and they are famous for the Teochew Mooncake. What are they? They are the Teochew style and is totally different in shape n taste. Yam mooncake – is made of a flaky pastry and thick yam paste inside with a salted egg yolk in the middle. While the Teochew Mooncake is flat and round in shape and made using Picked Mustard vegetable (Mei Cai) and Lotus paste. A combination that creates great flavor upon first bite, the pickled mustard paste had an orange peel taste too! While it is hard to get authentic ones like this, no worries because Setapak Teochew Restaurant has it for sale now!

5. Passionne Apple Snow skin Mooncake @ Good Chen

Like this snow skin mooncake in an Apple shape – cute looking that will sure to entice kids to eat them in Mid-Autumn festival! Having the smell of an apple, the ingredient in it includes white lotus paste with single yolk. Other creative design includes Durian shape and taste, Mangosteen, Watermelon and Strawberry too!
