Now, the restaurant has come up with a new range of Chinese dishes to tickle your taste-buds! After the great success of the first event, we are going to have another MakanVenture food tasting event at the restaurant with ten pairs of lucky OpenRicers to try all the new dishes!
The new menu features six enticing dishes, consisting of chicken, pork, fish, egg and vegetables. The main dishes are priced at only RM8 each. “It is the most affordable price for the same type of food in Klang Valley”, the restaurant’s owner, Steven, emphasized. By spending only RM8, you can enjoy the luxury of savouring an entire freshly cooked dish alone. In fact, the portion of each dish is so big that one dish can be shared by two diners.
Patrons are also welcome to dine in with family and friends by ordering several dishes on the menu. There is no limitation on the number of the same dish that you can order. For example, if you find that one plate of steamed fish is insufficient, feel free to order two plates or more. In the future, the restaurant will add additional flavours to the chicken, pork, and fish dishes, so that regulars can enjoy more food options.
Let’s take a closer look at the new dishes featured in our upcoming food tasting event:
1. Steamed Fish

A great value-for-money dish with Tilapia Fish that is steamed to perfection and served with gingers, spring onions, and fried shallots to add a little extra kick. The main chef uses only Tilapia Fish that are freshly bought from the wet market on a daily basis to ensure the fish is tender and succulent without any unpleasant “soil” smell.
2. Curry Pork with Steamed Egg
RM8.00 (rice not included)
A well-balanced dish offering both flavourful curry pork and smooth steamed egg. The pork is cooked with house special curry for long hours until the sauce is dry and the meat has fully absorbed the spiciness and fragrance of the curry. The nutritious steamed egg is a perfect accompaniment to the curry pork that is stronger in taste.
3. Steamed Chicken with Steamed Egg

If you are looking for a healthy meal, this dish would suit you best. It is chicken drumstick meat steamed with shredded ginger and spring onions. The meat is soft and tender with a refreshing aroma of ginger. A small plate of slippery steamed egg is served along with the dish.
4. Curry Chicken with Potato

A heavenly treat for spicy food lovers! Sink your teeth into the tender and moist chicken that is cooked with curry sauce for several hours until the meat is rich in spicy flavours. What makes the dish even more tempting is the curry potatoes that accompany the chicken. The potatoes are so meltingly soft that you can’t help but eat one after another.
5. Steamed Egg
RM5.00 (rice not included)
This egg is skillfully steamed to create the smooth and soft texture. It is topped with fried shallots and spring onions to add an extra burst of taste and crunch. Remember to add some soya sauce to enhance the taste.
In this coming OpenRice MakanVenture event, every invited OpenRicer is allowed to bring a friend to join the food tasting event together, and each pair of participants can order any two main dishes from the menu. After enjoying the sumptuous meal, every diner will be served with the restaurant’s signature dessert, Teow Chew Yam Paste, as bonus!
